Has anyone ever done a fitting for wedges? If so, can it be done fully on mats at a place like Golftec? Wanting to replace my wedges and get fitted for proper wedges since I know nothing about bounce and grind.

I have not. But my question would be how would you would test the turf interactions with your desired bounces.

I got fitted at Impact Precision for wedges.
I had to hit a bunch of 50yrd shots on the sim and then backed up to 100yrds. I was hitting in front of the mat, guess that was a more accurate than hitting off the plush mat.
Eventually I was fitted into some Cleveland wedges. I really wanted Vokeys but my numbers were better with the Cleveland’s. For shafts, he put me into the same shafts that I was fitted for my irons. I love the wedges and definitely saw an improvement over my old wedges.

Find a local country club doing fittings. You should get all the bounce/angle stuff worked out on the turf you play the most.

I recently had one done outdoors. I got a lot out of it. I tested everything g and was really surprised that I fit into a low bounce option the best for my lob wedge. I would have never guessed that.
