Most are built into the bottom of the boat. It uses the water underneath to cool off the water in the keels and circulates through the motor and back to the keels.

It can sit at idol in the yard and just the amount of volume going through the keels are enough to keep the motor cool.

The key is to not have so much volume that the motor runs to cool. You want that engine running at operating temp.

This is essentially what they have done. Its hard to imagine the water cooling enough by running the keel, but looks well-designed in person. Id sure like to read about some real world test results. I havent seen much on these all Summer.
