It can be cooled by a simple keel cool system. Most mudboats with car engines have them now. If it can cool a V8 I'm sure it can keep up with a 50 Outboard.
My dads E72 Subaru mudboat has this set up since 1995 and still works great.

Keel cooling works great and I can't believe it STILL hasn't become mainstream
