Koolaid is saying he watched us play while on a recruiting visit after committing to us, but the way we struggled is what scared him off.

Me, personally, I can see that. Bad showings can affect a few that have perspective. So, for those that believe game results largely dont matter, sometimes they do.

Any QB that would pick Dieon over Lincoln Riley is a dumbass, that can't be disputed

Brian Smith said USCheat folks tell him it’s either them or Auburn for Juju.

If Bama helped him so much then why did he go lower in the Draft(41) than Roger McCreary(35). Also you needed to watch a game to know that we weren't very good???? Lol I call bullshite. He, like several other players who picked Alabama or Georgia over Auburn are pushing their schools narrative. Auburn=bad Bama=good. It's that simple. People will say Oh they ruined Byron Cowart, and Calvin Ashley, but both those dudes had HUGE issues, and would have been CUT by Saban. He was a Harsin staff recruit right??? I'm telling you that visit probably has more to do with him knowing the staff was bad, and it wouldn't be fun playing for a loser MORE than just one game. Believe him if you like though

I cant pretend to know how it is in college sports, but I know when I played sports tension was always higher when losing. We have now had like 4 consecutive 6 win seasons. The mood cant be that great. There is also the fact when our team struggles we look like we are running in mud- laboring in vain.

Bama as we all know had a strangle hold on the state and there's literal pressure from family, friends, highschool coaches, and the dude behind the counter serving you food to go there. THAT'S what happened in my opinion. Us being bad didn't help, but until Freeze showed up, I saw 4* dudes picking Bama who NEVER played who would have been in Auburns 2 deep!!!!!!!!!!! It was soul draining to watch Bama be 3-4 deep at a position, but Malzhan still get his arse handed to him when we had a STARTING spot waiting!!! I'm sorry for ranting lol

That was rough to watch. I'd rather stare meticulously as sausage gets made.

I can tell you playing college sports that you're a product of whatever is happening at that time. Losing culture spreads and players just start to not care as much. I was part of a losing program that turned into a better one. Coaches can only do so much. The players have to be the ones to change their mindset. Recruiting definitely matters too. If there is no talent, then none of the other stuff matters at all.

Where did you play and position, if you don’t mind sharing? I’m always intrigued we have college athletes on the forums!
AUNYC played collegiate basketball I believe

I can't read it, but I think 247 had an article about Juju yesterday and got some quotes from his dad. Seemed like it was positive stuff.

Dieon becoming the football version of Lonzo Ball

To me every coach is like Deion, but with prime he's honest to your face about it. This is a business, and you're gone when you don't produce. I'm sure he remembers Travis Hunter's name right?? Lol These kids were literally PAID to produce, and some of them didn't, so on to the next high priced athlete. The NFL and life is 10x more cut throat, might as well get use to it. Remember these guys get NIL cash, their education paid for, girls (being honest), and every other luxury of being a HIGH LEVEL college athlete. All that goes away when ya don't get it done.

I don't mind Deion either. I wouldn't appreciate it at Auburn, but it's entertaining at Colorado. And if the Buffs are honest, they need his energy to ressurect that program from irrelevance.
His clear priority of building a team around his son is the biggest red flag. Once he doesn't have any kids playing he probably loses interest.
Auburn fans are weirdly rooting for Prime's failure to prove we made the right choice with Freeze. Freeze was definitely a better choice for us, and I don't need to see Prime fail to know that.
