75.Hendon Hooker

113.Emil Ekiyor Jr.

2024 WAS 3rd

Made one trade. Dropped two spots in the draft and picked up a 3rd rounder next year.

Not thrilled with my picks. But not terrible for a quick first try.

Love the Iowa LB at that spot.
Hate Hooker at that spot.

They aren't taking a QB. They are more than satisfied w/Ridder.

Bijan would be the worst pick possible. They already drafted a RB1 last year in the 5th. OL, specifically LG, is the biggest hole on the roster.

Not the most realistic since Carter dropped to 8 but I couldn't pass him up. I'm just having fun with it and not taking it serious so if you disagree, IDGAF

8-Jalen Carter
DL | Georgia

44
B.J. Ojulari
EDGE | LSU

75
Marvin Mims
WR | Oklahoma

110
Luke Wypler
IOL | Ohio State

113
Byron Young (TN)
EDGE | Tennessee

224
Mekhi Garner
CB | LSU

225
Mohamed Ibrahim
RB | Minnesota

Not if he's the best player on the board.

And Fontenot has always preached BPA.

There’s not a scenario that he’s the BPA at 8. If 4 of the top 7 are QBs, then there will be at least one of the top 3 OL and quite a few D players. If we traded back, It could be possible but I still hate taking RB in the first when we drafted a true RB1 in the 5th last year.

Normally you would be right but Bijan is a generational back. He's an exception to the rule.

But I do agree that if Skoronski or Paris Johnson are on the board at 8 along w/Bijan to take one of the OL'man. Trenches win football games.

I do not believe he is a generational back. The media has hyped this guy up beyond belief since he was a senior in high school. He is not better than Saquon Barkley, Todd Gurley, Ezekiel Elliott and all of them were “generational backs”. He is not better than Nick Chubb and he wasn’t tabbed as a generational back. “Generational backs” are a dime a dozen and rarely make it past their rookie contract. It would be a tragedy to draft him 8th overall and pay him 24 million rookie contract only to have him behind our perfectly good, 5th round, second year RB Allgeier.

I don't think there's a huge gap between Bijan and Jahmyr Gibbs. I also think that the Falcons found amazing value with Allgeier in the fifth round last year. Drafting a RB in the first round negates the value they have with Allgeier.

I also believe you only draft a RB in the first round if you think he's the missing piece of a Super Bowl team. The Falcons aren't there yet.

Amen.

Also, if your looking for that skill set in a RB in this draft, Tyjae Spears from Tulane, Kenny McIntosh from UGA, and Keaton Mitchell from ECU all can come in and contribute immediately.

That assures him being a lock to the Falcons.

for what it’s worth, here is what I have determined after running this mock more times than I would like to admit.

1)Bijan is a generational back. He is that good, and whoever gets him will fall in love with him on and off the field.

2) I always end up wanting to run the wishbone during the draft because..

Gibbs
Archane
Evans
Bigsby
Miller
Roschon Johnson

All of those guys are really good. No, they aren’t as good as Bijan.. but the question becomes..

Paris Johnson + Roschon

or

Bijan + OT who I don’t know.

I’m not a scout, but I think Bijan may slide some tonight because of the quality of the other backs in the draft.

It’s the same argument as Fantasy Football.
Why take a great QB early when you get a damn good one in the 6th round but get a stud RB in the first round to go with him.

Just my two cents.

I don’t watch the NFL much at all anymore, but if I were a non-playoff team, I would trade back as much as I could and load up on next years draft.

Caleb Williams is that good.

You ALWAYS take the elite LT over the elite RB. If you think Johnson is that guy, then it isn't even debatable.

Not sold at all. He's good, but I don't think he's franchise changing good yet. He's also going to put a massive target on his back if he keeps doing that stupid arse fingernail shite in the NFL.

I'd have loooooved to see USC beat Utah and have to come play Georgia in the playoffs. Kirby would have put a bounty out for $1000 per fingernail.
