Good questions. Blake Baker can coach db’s he is currently doing it now I believe.
Sheppard is making roughly 350k/yr. College linebacker coaches make more.
As for Surtain, he is from here and is a great coach ...

Should Matt House get canned, this is what I would love to see:
DC/db - Blake Baker - should be easy sell
DL - Dennis Johnson
LB- Kelvin Sheppard - would he leave NFL?
DB/Safeties - Pat Surtain Sr.
This would be a great staff IMO ...

Watch him every week. He has pretty good speed. He doesn’t stand out and i can’t picture him ever touching the field at LSU unless he puts on some good size. He is very very light. ...

All I’ve seen coming from fall camp is Nuss has been lighting it up nonstop against the defense and in drills. Heading into week 1 it doesn’t even sound like he will get much playing time at all. Have to wonder why he stayed around. ...
