Update:
Got to visit with Tyler for about an hour. He was under heavy sedation. All Doctors are saying how good he is doing with all that has happened. Got to meet with Dr. Nanda. He was very positive and excited how good he is doing. He feels he will be fine. Track of the bullet actually didn't...

This is the info I have now. Tyler was hit with 5 times. 2 in the arm, 1 in the upper shoulder, 1 in the jaw, and the worst was 1 that hit in the left temple crossed to the right and went down. Luckily they said it did not go straight through the brain but traveled...

I live in monroe now but was born and raised in Bastrop. Lived there for 25 years. Clearly some of you people have no clue. You make an assumption on just driving through or what you hear. But to say it's one of the 12 most dangerous places in Louisiana is absurd....
