We did the 16 day trip with my 3 kids back in 2014. Kids were 11,10, 7. They are good car travelers so that is a must. We tent camped 10/14 night I believe. Put 5500 miles on the car. Started in Houston and drove overnight to Durango. Stayed there for 4 nights in two different campgrounds. Drove...
My 2019 Silverado LTZ was stolen last year from hospital parking lot in Katy. Got three diagnostics alert emails consecutively in two minutes saying theft alarm was going off and transmission needed immediate repair and to take to shop. On star was disabled within a minute and the vehicle was never ...
I can’t recommend Breckenridge more for this trip. Have been there many times with our kids and all the other places mentioned as well. They are all beautiful, but Breck is set up perfectly. So much to do. Walk to town and eat and drink daily. Rent bikes and ride path to Frisco, hiking trails, pe...
I know a couple families that send their kids to st Martha’s and it is highly thought of, however, I didn’t see the need to spend the money when the public schools are as highly rated as they are. ...
I have lived in Kingwood for 15 years and all three of my kids have gone through the public schools. They are highly rated ( some more highly rated than others) I believe you would be very happy with the school system. I have a senior and a sophomore in high school and one in middle school now. I...

It’s an all gravel lot. I have been there once when it was wet and other than puddles in low spots it wasn’t muddy. You will get chalky white dust on everything if it is super dry. A majority of the tailgaters are in the lot all day so there is a good atmosphere. I fill up at loves coming in from ...

I have towed a travel trailer the last few years and stayed in what used to be called the vet med lot. The tow vehicle has stayed with the trailer in the lot, however if you leave There is a certain time on Saturday where they close off the lot to vehicles getting back in and you may have to park it...
El dorado is a big place. Very nice grounds and typical food and drink selections for all inclusives. Beach is ok but like several other resorts along this section they have these massive concrete sand bag looking things out in the water to help with beach erosion. It makes it difficult to really s...
Did this trip with 5 other couples 7-8 years ago. Best vacation of our lives. We had 2-3 people that were very concerned about getting seasick and said they get sick easily. We had two boats a 50 foot cat (the swish)and a 72 foot monohull (sublime). Both boats were staffed with a husband wife team t...

Wife and I went 5 or so years ago. Weather can be hit or miss in early June. We got a couple days of perfect weather and a couple days of 38 degrees and rainy. There is plenty to do even though many of the trails still have snow. Bow river valley is beautiful and took the gondola up to the peak a...

Thanks for the info. We are planning on taking our kids to the game and was hoping it was a relatively fun experience to tailgate with our RV. We don't get to take the kids to games in tiger stadium during the fall very often because of all of their weekend sports activities etc. I was hopeful we ...

Bowl game tailgate experience

Purchased a travel trailer this year and was curious what your experiences have been in the RV lot for bowl games. Good crowd or lame? Also any experience with Camping world stadium. Is this a decent place to tailgate overnight or should I make alternate plans that don't include the trailer? TIA...
I have a masterbilt 40 and love it. Does it smoke foods like a traditional offset smoker? No ,but about everything I have made on it has turned out great: brisket, pork butt, ribs etc. you don't get the traditional smoke ring color in your meet but everyone I feed says it is delicious. ...
My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014. She was 40 at the time with no family history of it. Doing great now. Found a lump and went to doctor. Doctors figured it was a cyst but after mammogram and ultrasound came in and told us it was probably cancerous. Had a biopsy to confirm. ...

Thanks for all the info. Definitely getting a new hitch and tahoe is wired for trailer brake. I don't want to get a trailer anywhere near my max weight. I am looking at a forest river, Kz, or jaycie. Any recommendations? My other concerns about switching to a trailer is accessibility to camp...
