Brown is from Washington D.C. In the D.C. "hood" the term "bama" is an insult that means not stylish, or unsophisticated. Maybe this is what he meant....

I listen once in a blue moon because I know one of the crazy regular callers and I get a kick out of hearing him on air. His normal persona is very different from his on-air persona.
I could learn more about college sports talking to my wife than I could from Paul Finebaum. ...
