Had Covid bad in Feb. Had the Pfizer vaccine in June. Day after first shot just had a bad headache and was tired. Day after second shot, had low fever for a few hours and was very, very tired. Right as rain within 36 hours after both. ...

What is in the old O'Connells location now? That corner was where it was happening. St Patrick's Day there was a blast....

When I first moved to Norman, I had to stop drinking beer for a while because it was so weak. Just got full without the buzz. I've lived in both Tuscaloosa and Norman. Norman is a much nicer town but I like the Bama campus better. It has come a long way. ...

Is the beer still 3.2? I remember the first game I went to in Norman in 1990-something and being surprised by the sale of beer right on the street. It's a pretty fun environment. ...

I have two kids at Bama right now as well and both are in the Greek system. I was there in the 80's and it has changed immensely. I like the changes and the dorm situation is light years better. The strip has been cleaned up a little too much for my liking though. The main reason for the increas...
Not sure how the testing is happening after they get on campus. I think it may be happening through contact tracing . I'll ask when I get a chance. We had to prove they were negative when they got there. I have heard that some of these kids are displaying symptoms but am not privy to treatment met...
I do know the quarantined are being monitored and fed. Some are being isolated to their rooms. Others are being moved to dorms specifically designated for quarantine. As for the social stuff, my daughter (FR) is still meeting people but the level of socialization (bigger parties, etc) certainly i...
Both of mine are at Bama. They are still attending several classes in person (every other class for distancing requirements). They say the professors are doing a good job with the virtual lectures and assignments. The biggest changes are that all meals are take-out from the greek houses/cafeteria...
I spent a lot of time in that Biology building. It seemed old even in the 1980's. Overall there aren't many buildings on Bama's campus I would want to see torn down. They've done a great job making the architecture pretty consistent across campus. Could use a new arena and Tutwiler has gotten a...
He wasn't there on game day though. I believe he spoke at Coleman and then went to the McDonalds on his way out of town....
That was how it was explained to us as well. It wasn't a specific curriculum but rather a set of knowledge standards that were to be met by certain grades. It was up to the district to implement the curriculum to meet the standards. We never saw any of the weird math that was being pushed as part ...

Yazoo is Nashville is pretty good. I like their Dos Perros and Pilsner....
I was in Freeport, Grand Bahama in Feb. They haven't really bounced back from the last one (Irma?). The number of damaged and destroyed hotels was staggering. I've been to Abaco as well and it's heartbreaking imagining what those people are going through. It is beautiful place. ...

re: Anti-Spanking PSA on the radio

Same here. Lots of other ways to alter behavior. I'm not against spanking but it shouldn't be done in anger. It is also kid-specific. Some kids react to just the threat of a spanking, some can be spanked daily and still not change their behavior. ...
I was at that game. It was pathetic. His kid went to my kids' high school for a few years and left a trail of problems behind (fired coaches etc). That family is not looked upon favorably in our area. That being said, I do hope things go well for Albert. ...
The Presidential merit scholarship (100K over 4yrs) for applicants with an ACT score of 32 or above is a major contributor for the increase in out-of-state attendees. I believe that over 50% of the student body is from out of state now. My son just finished his freshman year there and most of his ...

Exactly. I'm going to run my 2018 numbers through the 2017 software and see what the real difference is. ...
Agree. I might be okay with the interest being waived and a percentage of the loan forgiven (25%) for degrees in certain fields or proven employment in certain jobs. ...
