This is a good question, but it's premature to ask it now because Miles will probably be around through the end of the 2015 season. Unfortunately, I think everything you've said is true. Miles will drag the Tigers down even further, before Alleva finally gets rid of him. Miles will be gone, involuntarily, in two years, and we need to hire an up-and-comer with a proven record of success as an HC. I would not want to take a chance on someone with no HC experience, regardless of how much success someone has had as an OC or DC.

Could so many experienced evaluators of HS football talent have been wrong about him? Maybe he didn't deserve a 5* rating. Maybe he was just a man among boys and now that he's at the next level, his true abilities have been revealed. After 4 games, he does not appear to have the vision, initial burs...

Malzahn, Newton and Fairley had more to do with AU's last NC, than Chizik did. Chizik would not be a good choice....
