Orange Bowl Committee Makes Decision On Mississippi St. Cowbells
Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports
On Tuesday, the Capital One Orange Bowl committee announced that Mississippi State fans will be allowed to bring cowbells into Sun Life Stadium when they play Georgia Tech on New Year's Eve. Per Maroon And White Nation...

The fans did a very good job of adhering to the new cowbell policy in home games, this season. With the ability to bring in cowbells into the stadium, Mississippi State fans will be able to turn Sunlife Stadium into a more homey atmosphere for the Bulldogs. With the game taking place at 8:10 PM local time, Miami residents may have a resonating cowbell sound all throughout New Years celebrations.

AD Scott Stricklin released a statement today in which he said, “We appreciate the Capital One Orange Bowl allowing our fans to continue a timeless Mississippi State tradition at this year’s game. Our fans did a wonderful job this season with cowbell compliance, and I know they’ll exhibit the same as a show of appreciation to the Orange Bowl.”

You think this is fair? Or who cares?

I would like to know the number they have to cough up every year in bribes to have people actually look at a COW BELL and say, "Yeah, I don't see why that shouldn't be allowed in their thousands. No unfair noise production or possible distraction between downs there."

SEC rules don't apply to bowl games. We have been allowed to bring them to every bowl game since Mullen arrived and we have yet to be penalized for ringing them in bowl games. The Gata Bowl begged for more cowbell. The orange will too.

Wouldn't shock me if they got flagged for lack of "cowbell compliance."
This ain't a home game.
