The Kentucky Wildcats have hired West Virginia's Shannon Dawson as the teams new offensive coordinator, according to ESPN:

West Virginia averaged 5.91 yards per play in 2014, tied for 47th in the FBS.

At times during Dawson's three-year run as coordinator, head coach Dana Holgorsen shared the playcalling duties with Dawson.

Given Kentucky coach Mark Stoops' background as a defensive coach, the source said the move is an opportunity for Dawson to branch out and run his own offense.
Dawson had been an assistant coach at West Virginia since 2011.
