I wouldn't say Bama wears out their players. A typical 5 star player is usually far more mature than other players. Because of this, despite their outstanding ability, they have less room to grow than most players. Your typical 2, 3 star player will never even come close to reaching even their level, their possibility of making vast improvement is better because they start from a much lower point.

All that money pays off

So basically Bama is admitting they do less with more, but claiming they're the best anyway. Sounds about right for Gump U.

This isn't touting how many future NFL HOFers we are gonna have. It's how they performed IN THE SEC which was dominant. If the guys can't catch on to their NFL coaches scheme or they decide to get lazy, that's their fault, not Bama's. Do you guys blame Jamrcus's failure on LSU? No, he got lazy but nobody would ever say LSU wore him out, was he was a flop because he went to LSU? no, you say it's because he wasn't the same player in the pros's he was at LSU or he got with the wrong team, Whatever. But Bama guy doesn't do well in the pro's it's because Bama did something to him or Saban wore the guys out or he was overrated or some other excuse othe than blaming the player for not catching on or the coach in the NFL having him in the wrong scheme. Saban recruits for his scheme, not for Jim Caldwells or Jason Garretts The hate for Bama from LA is unreal sometimes. Almost disturbing.

Steele was at Alabama in 2007, 2008, and 2014. He played a role in recruiting and developing some of the LBs early in the Saban era. He hadn't been back on the field long enough in his second tenure to make an impact.

The "23 4/5 star signees" shows that they were actually not "built by bama".

I actually think it is a pretty good marketing tool and they have produced some good LBs. The 5 All Americans, 7 SEC honors, and 7 draft picks since 2006 are all impressive, but why add signee number? If anything that makes it look like you underdeveloped 16 guys.

How many of those are 1st rounders of those 23?

My bet is that percentage is quite low.

hmmm wasn't coach Steele the Linebackers coach at Bama...who are they giving the credit for the LBU status?

I wouldn't be bragging about signing 23 - 4 or 5 star linebackers and only
7 were drafted by the NFL. I'm guessing that there are a still few on campus now,
but that is still well under half getting drafted.
