I've got improving hopes for football the rest of the year and very high hopes for basketball and baseball seasons.

I can't remember a Stalling's team being this committed to defense. With their balance on offense and overall depth, a solid defensive effort would take this team deep into March.

Being able to rotate through 3 7-footers helps, especially when you can have 2 on the floor at a time as your best offensive and defensive 5 possible. Our front court is just absurd, especially with Hendo showing that he can actually give us really solid minutes.

Argh. Another close loss to top 25 team. Ken Pom actually had Baylor at 13 and us at 12. After the game, Baylor is 14th and we're at 12. Don't ask me how that works.

Frustrating loss. On top of that, another close loss with a double-digit 2nd half lead. Stallings-coached teams have had way, way too many of those over the last 5 years. I thought this team was past that. I guess not. Until I see success in games like this in March, I'm forced to have a "believe-it-when-I-see-it" attitude.

Well, the KenPom prediction for the game was Vanderbilt 68, Baylor 71, with the Commodores only 36% likely to win. So, I guess we outperformed the prediction by losing by 2 instead of 3? Pretty damn accurate prediction, that!

Tight and tentative? They were pretty loose. Threw up stupid shots all night and made even worse passes. It was totally undisciplined.
