Now the polar opposite from last year. Start the worst QB on the roster and ride with him to the L. The kid threw 2 intersections why not just run him on the goal line?

No guarantee Freebeck does any better. I fault the play calling at least as much as the execution, especially on the 2nd pick.

Disagree. The offense benefited early from being able to run the read option. McCrary came up gimpy after being tackled on the 1 just before the 2nd INT. From that point forward, he was not a running threat. That totally changed the offense. Freebeck is not a running option.

The playcalls were fantastic. Sure, you can dispute the 2nd one when they could have taken 3 points instead of going for it on 4th. If it had not been 4th down, McCrary would hopefully have thrown that through the back of the endzone. Instead, he just tried to make a play. Unfortunately, he had an open man and just did not read the play correctly. However, he did get better at the end and made some really nice throws and even had a beauty dropped by Marcus that should have been 6. Let's not ask for the carousel to start spinning YET.
