Yeah I know its been argued a million times but now we can add Gurley and Chubb to the argument. Is it too early to put Sony on the list? Probably our best receiving back already. I guess we still put Trippi and Sinkwich on the list even though none of us are old enough to remember them playing.

Here's mine, whatcha got

1 - Herschel

2 - Gurley
2a - Chubb*
2b - Hearst
5 - Hampton
6 - Moreno
7 - Lars Tate
8 - Worley
9 - Sony Michel*
10 - Trippi/Sinkwich

Honorable mentions Thomas Brown, Terrell Davis, Musa Smith, Robert Edwards, Veron Hayes and I'm sure others I forgot. Oh yeah Jasper Sanks

Already second guessing how I don't have Edwards in the top 10

1) Herschel
2) Hearst
3) Chubb
4) Willie McClendon
5) Holyfield

I'd probably put Gurley II at #2 on my list except for the bullshite moronic way he wasted his opportunity over some autograph chump-change. So, frick him.

Sinwich has to be top 5 on the fact that he was the school and south's first Heisman winner. Kevin McLee and Willie McClendon both had 1,000 yard seasons and need to go on the list ahead of Brown, Davis, and Edwards for that reason, IMO. Musa Smith had 1k+ yards on an SECC team with no real backup (Tony Milton and Browning played pretty sparingly in '02) so he's on the list ahead of Tate, IMO.

My list would probably be:

1. Herschel
2. Sinkwich
3a. Gurley
3b. Hearst
5. Chubb
6. Moreno
7. Hampton
8. Trippi
9. McClendon
10. Smith
11. Tate
12. Worley
13. McLee
14. Michel
15. Edwards

I'd be fine with Edwards being higher and Thomas Brown on the list as well. Anything past Moreno or Hampton is probably fair game for debate.

Sorry,Worley was a better RB than Tate.1st team AA and
SEC Offensive POY.ANOTHER great RB who had a severe knee injury (ACL)Recovered nicely by his Sr year though.

Too bad he couldn't keep his head on straight.

Expected more of a debate on ranking Hearst, Gurley and Chubb than Tate vs Woorley but fair enough

Trippi was a 2 time All American and in the CFB HOF. Sinkwich won a Heisman. They are better than #10

Keith Henderson was a helluva of a running back. When he and Worley ran all over Florida it was a glorious day to be a Dawg. Saw it live, will never forget it.

The only thingood I know about my top 10 is Moreno would be above Gurley. We got two great seasons out of him and one out of Gurley.

The only thing I really remember or know about Henderson is that 85 game you mentioned so I looked up his stats.

700 as a FR, 500 as a SO, 400 as a JR. Ran for ~1600 in his career with 7 rushing TDs.

Putting a list like this together is real hard but I'm not sure Keith should be super high on it.

Worley was much better than Tate.

Fwiw, Tim has his head on straight now. He does this motivational speaking thing and does pretty well with it. Last I heard he ws in Huntsville, AL.

Sinkwich has to be #2 and Trippi in top 5.

Rod Hampton was not near the athlete a lot of these guys on the list were.... He just had the most amazing vision. Watching film on his runs was like watching a magic show sometimes...
