Yeah midway just bc it seems more convenient for what we wanna do.
I looked at the train but if memory serves it was pretty expensive and didnt' seem very convenient. Might look at renting a car.

Mine was $308 per person after all taxes and fees.
That's really a good price. Out of curiosity I checked to see what a Buddy pass costs, and it is $159.00, but, of course, that is standby. $308 is very good price.

This is, quite literally, a once in a lifetime trip. It has never, ever been done before in history. We could go winless the rest of this year and lose to app state next year, but i imagine when you're 90 and talking ot the grandkids they aren't gonna care we weren't good at the time, they'll just think it was cool that gramps was at the UGA/ND game.quote:
You're right! I think a long weekend in chicago with friends, checking out a historic college campus and stadium, and checking out a UGA football game along the way is a good time whether we win or not.
You make valid points. Chicago is one of my favorite places....lots of fun places to drink in Chicago and the food is PERFECT for a middle aged fat man LOL.
I said as soon as I heard this series announced that I was going....and I fully intended to....but honestly I just do not have the same passion for UGA football I once did...I know it is probably just old age catching up with me but even when we hit the bomb against Tennessee this year I never got close to knocking the ceiling fan down....when in years past I did just that when we recovered a fumble against Auburn in the first quarter of a game...serioulsy...knocked a spinning ceiling fan off the ceiling...made a helluva mess...it just has lost a lot of luster over the last 10 years or so when you knew what to expect every game and was never surprised...the one exception the last SEC championship game we played in....

Midway is in the ghetto. Be careful
It's a short drive for me so just waiting on tix to go on sale. I may stay Friday in Chicago and Saturday in South Bend. Not sure yet

Thanks for letting me know. I'm going next year as well. Excited to watch us play in South Bend. Hopefully ND struggles against us as mightily as they have this year.

any idea if kizer is leaving early?

If you would have asked me that after the Texas game I would have said absolutely. Now, I'm not as sure. I still think he's a top 3 QB so I have a hard time seeing him pass up the draft but we'all see how he plays the rest of the season. I guess we should root for him to play well.

I've been pretty critical of the current staff but holy shite. You're pretty dramatic. Aren't you in your fifties?

I think he's gone regardless. Either he's good enough to leave early or Kelly fricks up, commits to Zaire and Kizer transfers.

Will you be making the same announcement on GON?

GON banned me a long time ago.
I posted a link to a political cartoon they thought was too risqué.

Wow. I didn't think about that when I said it. Think we need to get a big "G" tattooed on our bellies?

I will be making the trip there next year. Anyone got any info on which hotels are best to stay at? I'm gonna book early.

I'd look for something just off the turnpike (I-90) in the South Bend area. I haven't been there so I can't give any specifics but I do know ND stadium is two miles off of I-90
