I don't see Fitzgerald doing much either running the football.

His ability to throw will open up some running lanes.

Rodrigo B. may be the difference late in the game if he can consistently boot it thru the EZ as he's been doing...

Definitely feel better about our special teams this year. Much improvement over the offseason.

State hasn't faced a legit D yet. GA gonna be all over Fitz & those RBs. We win the turnover battle with a couple of INTs & RB strips. State walking into a buzzsaw in Sanford.

And remember, Kirby is quite familiar with Mullen's offense. Advantage, Dawgs.

Got a feeling Fromm & co. gonna have the kind of game they're capable of -- Dawgs win big.

I' came of age as a Dawg fan with Vince Dooley and Larry Munson so I never think we'll ever win a game against anyone.

That being established I don't think we run the ball against anyone with a defense with a pulse. We just don't have the Oline to run the ball down people's throats. If you watch the Samford game Chubb and company were stopped at or behind the line but were able to break tackles and pick up some yards. The first couple of drives Samfords d line was fresh and making tackles.....then the athleticism of our backs took over. SEC defenses aren't going to have that problem. Unless MSU misses tackles on initial contact we are going to have a frustrating night running the ball.

So that means our passing game will have to open up the running game. Based on Notre Dame, the only real defense we have played....our passing game is just good enough to keep the chains moving most of the time. Barring two dropped passes and a mishandled handoff the ND game isn't even close. Couple this with a much improved special teams play through three games and a championship caliber defense I think we have enough to win by 7-10 points in a night game at home. It ain't going to be easy because our oline is NEVER going to allow us to dominate a good defense and win easy.

Finally these are the kinds of games you have to win consistently to be a next level football program. frick around and lose 2-3 of these every year and you are relegated to being the second or third best team in the SEC east. This isn't a must win game by any stretch but a loss will seem eerily familiar to the last 34 years.

I wasn't SO concerned about this game until USCjr started getting skull-drug by a team MSU boat-raced.

Maybe so. Unfortunately though, that won't help the inside of UGA's offensive line from getting eaten alive in a little over a hour. The defense will keep it close for two and half quarters, but MSU is going to pour it on in the third and fourth quarters. Everyone on this board has been in a tickle pile all week slapping each other's butts, looking at Fromm mom pics, and telling each other that LSU is just a bad team - none of that is going to change that MSU is a bad matchup. So much false bravado on this board is head scratching.

But then...The taters struggled for 3+ quarters with. BC team that ND curb-stomped last week. Just a weird arse start to the season altogether.
