I have always enjoyed UGA football... Win or lose but I have to admit that I was tiring of Richt. Yes, he is a great man but he lost control of the program and he had a knack for not only losing the big game but being blown out within the first quarter with no chance of recovery.
As much as I hate that POS Spurier, he was able to get every ounce of talent out of his players. Richt on the other hand had anothe knack which was taking exceptional talent and making it very good. Not sure if it was his coaching or his system or both but the end result was the same.... 7 or more wins per year. Rinse and repeat the next year. Yes, I get it... Many fans would be thrilled with the results we had under Richt. Our problem and Richt is we never made it to the next level.

You should copyright that.
Very true.

temper my expectations until I see us beat a better team.
Hell....I'd settle for being confident that we have better than a 50% chance to beat FL or SC - regardless of how good they are. They could both field a team of walk ons and I'd be nervous.
CMRPTSD indeed

I'm a relatively new Dawg fan (not a GA native) and I've never watched a more frustrating team, in any sport, in my life. There has been so much talent on this team over the last few years, especially Murray's last two seasons. So many great, talented athletes on both sides of the ball who went on to the NFL and yet CMR didn't seem to have the ability to pull the best out of those guys.
I really feel like this team is about to turn the page in a big way and that frustration from the CMR years will begin to fade.
