I'm going to take a poke and guess you never played a team sport.

What momentum you say?

So what? So he had a great catch, or even a good game. Even bad receivers can blow up for a catch or a game. The great ones do it consistently every game. The simple fact is he was one of the biggest WR recruits in the country(a 5 star player), and that hasn't translated to the college game for whatever reason. We need him to step up big time.

I think he is tackled a bit too easily for a small wr with a 5 star rating. He needs to be able to squirt between zones or make them pay for man coverage on him.

Not a fan of Kirby chewing the kid out like that. The guys need to have a little fun and we definitely need Wims to play big this year.

When a coach does that its just a huge bummer for the team

I regret that I have only one downvote to give.

Act like you've been there before.

What needs to change is discipline, especially on the field, though an argument could be made for off the field. Specifically disciple that prevents people from doing stupid shite or look at me shite...especially look at me shite..

True. It's the on-field discipline that eliminates false starts, bad patterns, etc. I complained often that Richt failed in that aspect.

Say what you want but Lorenzo Carter sure as hell won't be running the endzone this year...

He, along with all the others, better run the end zone by keeping opponents out of it.

Just wanted to say I've never seen 31 down votes on a post to the GSB. Congratulations.

Also, that one up vote is pretty suspicious.

I'm saying there's no positive repercussion from that sort of discipline. Make him run and chew him out but to demoralize him in front of his teammates and fans like that? He would've gotten the message without that crap. We saw what happened to Godwin last year when Kirby rode his arse; it basically killed all the momentum he had from his Freshman season.

There's so much wrong with this mentality I don't know where to start. I guess your comments say more about you than anything I could add.

What noboby knows is what Kirby said to Wims after the punishment. I have read that Erk would bust your chops if you screwed up but then after practice put his arm around you and tell you how much he needed you as a player and that's why he was busting on you. Made them want to play for him that much harder.
