I've seen a lot of people on the Fire Richt train after the loss yesterday, and when that's the case I'm always interested to know who people want to hire.

Yes, we had another "shite the bed" game yesterday, but we still have every opportunity to win the East, and we lost to the team that has the most talent in the nation (and it's not really that close). When you bring in 4 straight #1 recruiting classes your team is going to be really good, and Bama is. Our recruiting is getting better, and firing Richt (after the season) would take away from potentially our best recruiting class of all time and take away the stud QB we've been looking for since Murray left. But if for some idiotic reason we did fire Richt, I have two guys in mind that I would want to go after

If you're in that fire Richt crowd, who do you want to try and hire?

I’ve been on the fire Richt bandwagon since that loss to Colorado. However, I’ve softened my stance after watching teams like Texas and Tennessee turn into shite shows. I’m afraid Richt is our best option. In saying that, I’ve learned to temper my expectations. I always expect 2 losses to better teams, and hope we don’t trip up to a lesser program. We should all try it, it takes the sting out of arse whippings.

Texas
That's a big one. They were literally National Title contenders and now they barely even get a field goal.

I'm not on the fire CMR bandwagon though.

Don't need to hire anyone - just promote Pruitt.

don't really give a shite anymore..current AD and admins won't go after a top shelf coach like Bama and UF did..we are a lot more like UT and Kentucky in our hiring practices and we will get the same results..

How do you even know this? Our current AD set us up to get Pruitt, an NFL O-coordinator, and more assistants and staff than we've ever had on payroll. Mike Adams isn't here hiring his buddies to coaching jobs anymore.

It doesn't matter who it is. When Richt retires in 4 or 5 or 20 years we will be exactly what we are and always have been...just outside the elite level. Solid winners 75% of the time. It is what it is.

When Richt does retire we will hire a Coordinator most likely with no head coaching experience and he wil come in with lots of energy and we will struggle for 2-3 years, compete for the SEC East for a couple of years and might even win the SEC....expectations will be higher than they should be (as they always are at UGA) and we will start talking about firing him in year 5 or 6.....

This is the Georgia Way...always has been, always will be. If you don't like the Georgia Way you have unreal expectations. The best that UGA will ever be is accidentally winning a national title every 50 years or so and the SEC every 15 years or so....

If Jere Morehead says break the bank and hire the next Saban, McGarity had best break the bank and hire the next Saban. Our University President isn't a slimy piece of shite with his own personal agenda like Adams anymore.

The thing is though that we will have to break the bank to hire the next Richt....because Richt is a UNiversity President's dream hire....clean program, plenty of money, never a serious blemish on the university and the almumni and donors are more or less happy. And, by the way, winning about 73% of the time. It don't get any better than that for about 130 or so programs in the country....

Maybe give Houston's HC an offer. Would give us some good recruiting ground in Texas. Or Chad Morris? Or promote Pruitt.

This. So very much this.

Or better yet hire Chip Kelly when the Eagles fire him.

Yeah, they went balls to the wall for Muschamp, Zook, and Mac. Really topshelf hires there.

People don't realize that the end of Richt will probably put the program into a Phil Fulmer - Urban Meyer type of spin. We would lose most of our recruits and have to rebuild from scratch just like old boy at Texas is stuck with. It would get fricking ugly fast.

Had UA not given 5 turnovers to Ole Miss they would have been ranked higher and favored. This was a poor showing but not a bed shitting

No, his crappy D gave up 38 points last night and looked like a shite show. He's still learning to be a good SEC DC, hes' not even close yet. His stats look close to Granthy's. The next coach could be stolen from a vast number of schools. UGA is one of the top 5 colleges to coach at. The way the Ravens are playing McGarity would look smart to talk to John Harbuagh. He's won BIG, superbowl, that ring alone will bring racruits and his brother is turning Meechigan into a powerhouse. They are from a coaching family. Also Gary Patterson, PJ Fleck at CMU, if UDUB has a better year steal Chris Peterson. ALso talk to Pete Carrol! UGA is a great school and deserves better than Captain Dipshit!!

GO DAWGS!!

FIRE RICHT!!

I guess you didn't watch the game. The defense gave up 24 points and the offense gave up 14 points.
