Eason? Cleaveland? Maybe half the class? Interesting times indeed. Move over SC and TN.

I heard from one recruits family that coaches were meeting with kids today. Hoping there is a plan in place rather than a reaction....it's going to make a huge difference.

Oh there is. When Pruitt leaves it's going to be real interesting.

Nice to see Spaceman here with the whole "we can't do better than Richt" attitude. I won't try to talk you off the ledge.

Funny how none on here wanted Smart just a week ago and now they all are sucking his dick. Hell, he didn't even run the D at 'bama... And that's the best we can do. But hey, that's what everyone of the anti-Richt crowd wanted, no? Hell, maybe we could learn the triple option...

The program needed a fresh start. Richt did a lot of great things for UGA, but in modern college football, 10 years without a conference title is a long time. The program wasn't necessarily regressing, but it didn't appear to be progressing either. It was just stuck in neutral. Georgia wasn't competitive in the two games that mattered this season.

There is a lot of talent in the cupboard for whoever comes in and takes it over, which appears to be Kirby. I'm not 100% sold on him because he hasn't been a HC yet, but I do think he can put together a very good staff (sounds like the wheels are already in motion) and he's well known as one of the best recruiters in the south.

You don't work as Saban's top assistant for 8 years without doing something right.

Outside of running backs and centers and the occasional QB we haven't been getting very good players anyway overall.

I would rather see the program recruit players who could be enrolled on academic ability alone and who would mostly play 4 years here, like the BSU teams that kicked our thumb suckers arse a few years back.

The thuggery which prevailed on the sidelines when Alabama came on the field was what got CMR canned, he coddled it all along in his career even embracing those black helmet/jersey crap which was and still is thuggish and has no place in a collegiate setting.

I know Cleveland tweeted something yesterday about being sad about it but saying his commitment was always to the school.

Cleveland and Eason have already said they are coming anyway.

Record?

Look, I was a HUGE Richt fan, but he is gone. It's time to move on and support whoever becomes the coach. But when you guys were making unreasonable attacks on Richt it was because you were good fans and we were not for supporting Richt.

Now that the shoe is on the other foot it's not so fun anymore, right?

IF the Administration has done their homework, we MIGHT not lose very many. In fact, we might not lose any that are already committed, thanks to Richt contacting them and talking to them beforehand.

The ones on the fence will be the ones we have to worry about losing.

Mecole Hardman, Derrick Brown, Nauta, Willie Allen, EJ Price, etc.

On the plus side...perhaps Kyle Davis reconsiders if Herman comes on board. Who knows what will happen, but the main thing is we need to get behind whoever the new coach is.

I know people on here are saying that, but I have been unable to find anything like that. Would you mind posting me a link? It would certainly make me feel better to see a quote after the firing.

I owned a few but sold them a while back... So you can still like them.

Another thing all our players should sport a crew cut and no more of these predator looking dreads on players period.

It's time to end that shite with the fresh start and a new attitude.

Some of the dumbest shite I've read on this board. We can have the players who would be here on academic ability while our rivals have all the real football talent and kick the dogshit out of us.

You really think the black jerseys were "thuggish"?????

The real ignorance there is thinking that UGA is alone in doing any of those things. That is how college football is 90% of the time. People only complain about it at UGA because we don't have a title.
