Where do you rank Chubb in UGA RB history?

I became a dawg fan my first day at UGA as a student, so I have bit of recency bias...but would it be fair to put Chubb #2 behind Herschel?

I think Gurley was a more explosive and dynamic RB, but Chubb isn't far behind at a close 3.

I think the "coming back for unfinished business" puts him at #2. Gurley had the talent, but Chubb has the story. Both DGD but Chubb's decision to come back (which I'm sure has just as much to do with draft stock as much as it does revenge against the nerds) puts him ahead in the 'lore'.

Based on all the factors...including loyalty, toughness, leadership and staying out of trouble so we can actually play him (I'm looking at you Gurley)..
#2 behind the greatest college football player ever

1. Herschel
2a. Gurley (without the bullshite he wins a Heisman)
2b. Chubb

Gurley is a better running back than Chubb. I don't see how anyone could think that Chubb is better and I love Nick and the fact he came back.
Also Moreno should be in the conversation for 3 and that's just considering recent backs.

Gurley is the better back physically but Chubb has more of the Walker mentality so when you list those intangibles I agree with your argument.

Gurley is the better back. Period.

When I think "UGA History" I factor in the intangibles.
Like with QB's. Stafford was probably the best QB we had come through the program - but if considering an great QB for UGA - ie DGD's - I have to go with Greene and Murray.

And that's all well and good if you want to prose it that way. But if you are simply asking who is the more talented player on the field it is Gurley.

IF you don’t have Chubb at 2, you are wrong

You can't seriously think Chubb is better than Gurley as a running back on the football field. I understand if you are factoring in the DGD factor, fine but Gurley is a better player.

If Bobo had stayed, I think Chubb could've had a shot at setting the record.

Chubb is great. Gurley was just better. It doesn't take anything away from Chubb. Chubb is a better leader and a better dawg.

Just some clarification.....Gurley > Chubb in terms of talent, but being the best is more than just talent. I love the fact that Chubb came back for his senior year and stayed out of trouble.

1. Walker
2. Chubb
3. Gurley
The only thing we can go by are statistics. Chubb, as a freshman played in fewer games than Gurley and got almost 200 yards more rushing. Gurley is flashier, but Chubb is the better back, imo.

If Chubb were to be the workhorse for an SEC Championship/Playoff/Natty winning team, would definitely elevate his status.

Without a doubt. I'm old enough to remember HW playing so I've seen a lot of great RBs come through Athens. IMO, Todd was the most complete football player I've seen since #34.
