Today, I really can't put my finger on it. The defense played decent. Not spectacular. Eason looked Phenomenal. Wr's and TE's looked solid. It seemed like they were gonna break through and finally get it going but never did. I have a feeling this team can be good but doesn't know how to. What gives?

Today it was special teams. Gifted them a TD to start the game, and as bad as their punter was we were still losing the field position battle all day. Other games we've had other problems, we're just an inconsistent team that isn't very good.

It is absolutely coaching. There just is no energy from a he team to start games , no inspiration. And if you don see it , you have your head in the sand.

Kirby needs to figure out hierarchy inspire the team to play at their top level, it's that simple.

Or maybe the coaching staff as currently constituted. The team doesn't seem to have a sense of itself. (Which probably gets compounded given the absence of senior leaders among the players.)

We out gained them by about 300 yards and didn't have a turnover. It's almost mind blowing how we lost that game

As with all previous teams we have no leadership from our seniors.

Starts with the HC and goes downhill from there.

First year coaching staff consisting of an un-tested head coach and middle to worse assistants.

Freshman QB making who apparently came from a system that wasn't loaded with talent or coaching judging by his poor mechanics and lack of development. He is a freshman but he is not a good freshman...he is average to less than average.

Very poor offensive line play.

Lots of youngsters playing a lot of ball. May bode well for the future but if coaching doesn't improve DRASTICALY it won't matter.

Finally there is just no demand for much better. Ray Goff was allowed to stick around about 3 years longer than he should have been, Jim Donnan should have never been hired, Mark Richt as allowed to live off weak schedules and some early success that hadn't been seen at UGA for 20+ years. We are the 4th or best team in the conference and the second or third best in the division....on really good years. About every 20 years or so we will be better than that but about every 10 years or so we will be worse.

If UF and UT hadn't been sorry as shite and Alabama hadn't been in as bad a slump as they were I don't think we would have won a SEC title since 1983.

We are as bad as we have been since Ray Goff was at UGA and maybe since Joel Hunt was the coach....

We can't run the ball even against weak teams. We had 75 rushing yards in this game for a 2.1 yard average per carry. Eason had a better day but he was still off target most of the time. Our receivers looked better and actually made some outstanding receptions of inaccurate Eason passes. But when you don't have a running game it's hard to score in the redzone with the their backfield compressed. Our main problem is a weak OL. I would also add that Chubb is definitely not the same RB that he was before his injury/surgery.

Eason looked horrible. He isn't accurate on even short passes. I saw at least a dozen passes that Eason threw to the wrong side of the WR and the WR had to turn around and try to catch a ball with the defender right on his shoulder. Nauta, Davis, Chigbu, and Wims all had to turn around toward the defender and still made catches. Eason could have had at least another 10 completions had he been accurate. I've seen this in nearly every game.

You're fricking stupid... you wanna talk out of your snatch, ask the fricker holding you upside down while your tonguing his ball sack to lean you back upright... Eason was 27-40 for 346 yards you dumb count... Seriously... just shut the frick up... your mouth and fingers were not made for speaking...

And at least 5 drops, 2 throwaways and a hail mary are included in those
numbers.

Did you not see the acrobatic moves the receivers had to make to catch some of those passes? He should have had at least 6 more completions. That would have given us maybe two more TDs.

Defense played well. Special teams were putrid (coaching).

Offensive scheming and play calling was awful.

Team looked flat, uninspired; etc. which is also coaching.

Probably only game I'll make all year and it was a stinker. The talent at the Georgia Theatre rooftop bar was nice thought.
