Mine:
Give gurley the ball 30+ times
play dime and nickel for the majority of snaps with a lot of 3 de / olb packages
Double cover Watkins every play with tray and Deanna

If you are double covering Watkins, don't waste your best corner on him. Keep Deanna on someone else.

But that would be overworking him and ruining his NFL career

I agree.

I think you have some formations with both Gurley and Marshall. Wild Dawg or some shite.

The each get to carry about 20 times.

20-25 for Gurley
10-15 for Marshall
10 split between Hall, Hicks, Turman, Douglas

Offensively... do what we do.

Start with I Formation and run our 50/50 offense.
Go with a single back formation and run our 50/50 offense.
Use HBack and run our 50/50 offense.

Then double-back to what we learned and exploit all of the weaknesses.

Defensively... blitz. Send Swann. Send Dawson. Send Wilson. Don't send pressure from the same spot. Force them to adjust their gameplan to defend us.

That's about right. You want to grind the clock. Morris wants to run 100 plays, the more time you take off the clock, the harder it is to to do that.

They will go to the air early and often and won't really use the running game. They're going to be putting in a RB who is either a true freshman or McDowell, who has a decent year for only 83 carries. However, McDowell is still under 5'9" and 200 lbs.

Boyd can move a little, but he's not as fast or elusive as Shaw. He will want to pass more than run. Playing that dime or nickle will give you some more speed and an extra body in the backfield. We've run a 4-2-5 against them for the past 4 years and beat the shite out of them.
Having 5 DB's won't matter though if you can't get pressure with 4 guys.

They have other good WR's too and if you do that every play Morris will notice.

Jam the frick out of Watkins. This is when having JHC really would've helped.

I disagree.

I think Boyd is more dangerous out of the pocket. Let him sit there as it collapses around him, lock down the receivers, he'll make bad decisions out of desperation.

When he tries to run out of it, Stripling will be there to lay the Voodoo on him.

Now, if Boyd gets electric and starts hitting passes like a pro, then you go full retard with the blitzing, don't give him more than 1 second before he's got to resort to his escape plan.

And if he is still beating you, then they deserve to win and Boyd is a legit Heisman contender.

Good luck with that. Watkins often lines up 2 to 4 yards deep to get a clean release.

Better have a plan B ready.

Giving gurley 30 carries in one game wont hurt his NFL chances we have enough local and some sec cupcakes to rest him ad the other sec teams aren't uptempo so clock control wont be as important

IMHO, Clemson would love to take a heavy dose of the run and then try to use its strength of 3rd down stops.

I also see them taking free rushing yards if the Dawgs just wanna give it away and then go for the occasional big play. They wanna give Sammy the Anquan Boldin(at FSU) role...

Dawgs shouldn't worry about the number of plays and should just play them straight up on both sides imo.
O: Run pass run pass run pass tight end TD etc

D: Don't sell out.. man up.

I would rather Boyd have to beat us with new recievers in the 1st game of the year plus swann one one with Watkins is a horrible matchup

I figure Dawg's goal: Stop Boyd

I figure Clemson's goal: Stop Gurley

(A)That's why they are fcked. It's not a sure thing they can even slow down the UGA rushing attack & (have not talked about Murray yet).. So I figure they're hoping you'd atleast help them out a little and play to their gameplan.

Stopping Boyd & Sammy may open up their run and help (A)

I know they want to stop gurley so they will have to pack the box with 8 and 9 guys, unlike lsu our OC has a brain so when they pack the box we can playaction on their weak arse secondary and because of that they will loosen up the box and then we pound them, clemson's front 7 has to dominate vs the run for them to have any chance because we have more proven weapons on the outside to attack them then they do us

They're fcked

(btw, I gameplan like Chan Gailey)

Underlying theme is the Dawgs don't have to be too cute on anything.. unless you count throwing to the TE for a TD when it becomes apparent they don't have enuff to cover him

On D, maybe you wanna invite the run & after a couple of first downs, stop Boyd on third... I dunno. Clemson will have a running back or something come out of the woodwork... Tahj Boyd was laughable at one point as the projected starter. where the frick did Sammy come from? One day he just popped up on ESPN highlights.., who's the next guy is what I'm thinking.
