re: What does everyone think of Mel Tucker as DC?

That has to be one of the best things I have ever read on here and very true. Pruitt had crazy amounts of talent on that FSU team and it showed. We had a ton of athletic and talented players too and he did fine except for a few games that come to mind. I think Tucker will be a perfect fit with Smart. They are comfortable working with each other and our schedule isn't that tough. I'm expecting some growing pains and an overall fun season to watch some of our players grow and get better. There's no reason our defense shouldn't be as good as last year's. And that's considering losing Floyd and Jenkins.
