Eason, highly rated recruit, true freshman.

Chubb, highly regarded running back coming off career-ending injury, plays hot and cold. Numbers way down from last year.

Michel, pretty good running back.

McKenzie, pretty good wild card, runs and catches well, does great on special teams, does poorly on special teams. Inconsistent.

Some mediocre WR's.

Some mediocre OL.

Promising true freshman tight end in Nauta.

What am I wrong about, and what am I forgetting?

I'd put Ridley as a "promising WR" but other than that you're pretty much right.

Ridley looks the part but disappears. Doesn't know how to make himself available and that's expected being a freshman. The O-Line is simply not executing. They're not extremely talented but they're not as bad as they appear. I honestly think the transition of different coordinators over the last 3 years has a lot to do with it. Again, I knew we would see the good, the bad, and the ugly this year.

Look, I think we're understating how much the line has regressed. Last year, we dominated at that spot didn't we?

I actually think our receivers are emerging a bit. Ridley and Wims look solid and we have a couple small, fast guys in Godwin and Mckenzie.

screw it, we have way more talent on offense than some, we're just not getting it done. Jim Cheney is who is he, he's always been middle-of-the-pack, so we get what we pay for. It's a shame we couldn't get our hands on Dan Enos.

Not at all.

So...

With 22 offensive players in a 2-deep, we have like 7 or 8 guys who even belong on the field in the SEC.

Is that statement correct or incorrect?

No.... Inconsistent coaching with a consistent coaching staff makes it appear so...

At the moment, maybe. That's not to say that it won't improve.

As a unit, I agree. I think Ridley has a lot of promise.

I honestly believe the OL is better than what they are showing. Some are playing out of position, and when they look bad....in my opinion, it is because we insist on running with a stacked box. Could be wrong, of course.

I actually think we have that many on first stirng, and some that will, but are too young.

FB
Tailback
3 OL project to NFL
QB Forced into play too early, but not doing poorly, at all
McKenzie
Nauta
Ridley
Godwin (If we can figure out how to get him the ball)

Play calling seems to be a problem, and big one at times. OL and WR talent is lacking. Kirby had the luxury of learning the ropes at a program that, year in and year out, fields an elite defense. Talent wise and depth wise we're not there, so being ultra conservative is not always a prudent option.

Is there any fanbase in America that is genuinely happy with their team's offensive play calling? I really don't think there is.

Alabama probably shouldn't be. Kiffin fricked around throwing it every down for half the first and good bit of the second quarter today and they didn't move the ball. Went back to running it and went up and down the field. Everyone has issues play calling. Except maybe Urban. frick that guy.

Teams have figured out how to beat our inside run game. Our Oline coach and OC need to watch film and realize they can't do the same shite. I mean frick...

Most would agree with your assessment. The problem: A team is only as strong as it's foundation and our foundation in the trenches is weak. Many RB's are more than serviceable behind a strong OL. I would trade 5 star RB's for 5 star linemen all day long.

Wait until we get the right players. Then that same shite will start to work.

There is the key. Kiffin adjusted. We have not adjusted.

He's having trouble tonight. maybe he can adjust? I hope not.

We have no one on offense or defense to step up and challenge the team to kick it up a notch. Eason is so confused he can't take control of the huddle.
I honestly believe we would have won today with Lambert at QB.
