Yeah, frick his career.

In all seriousness, absolutely not. He's got a good shot at starting next year and is currently the 2nd string center.

just a little cross training for the start of the year is all I was thinking but I suppose that's not doable with today's intricate schemes of both sides of the ball.

Kiante Tripp, Brandon Miller, Richard Samuel, and I"m sure there are others are all very talented guys that never amounted to hardly anythign because they never settled into a position.

I was real high on LG his junior year then he kinda fell off. I know DL is a major concern, but as mentioned it's really gonna frick his career up if we keep moving him. And it's not like we're packed ot the gills with studs on teh OL either.

Honestly, he got moved for a reason. Leave him at OL. You can go from DL to OL but it's a lot harder to go the other way. And I know he started as a DL but you always try a kid there first, if he can't cut then move him to OL.

Yeah there's no way you could do that with a lineman

Don't worry, it was a fleeting thought in my mind last night as I was doing some evaluations on recruiting spots & back counting on another board last night. Ultimately, +1 to what others have said here. A) It's a really tough transition back to the DL and B) He's already shown that he's got solid ability, spent some time with the 1's this spring and just not right to do that for his long term development. But yeah, on the surface recruited as a 4* DT, the logical jump is "could he help with our depth issues".

Way too much momentum going for him at Oline. A likely NFL future there as well.

Probably should have gone after a JC DT guy for depth.

I will always wonder what happened to him. Heard his Jr year was up their with the all-timers. Good luck to him on the o-line

Weight issues and apathy took over his senior year.

I think he'll do well on the interior of the OL in his Junior and Senior years with Pyke and Kublanow moving on.

Maybe but really can't remember. Just remember weight was an issue senior year and he just flat out did not look as dominant as he did as a junior and sophomore

I remember he was a 247 five star recruit, then after he committed he dropped to 4 stars. Bama offered him as well, so I called it out as the reverse Bama Bump. Them some Bammers posted it is because he broke his leg and couldnt play much.

Just going off memory. That was the one year I actually followed recruiting closely.

Think I do recall some sort of leg-related injury (could have broken leg but honestly can't remember specifics). So you may very well be right. Think he may have gained bad weight during rehab and just never quite got back to form.

Kendall Baker was a DT/DE in high school (hardly ever played OL). I've wondered about him jumping back to the DL.

I know that he's fighting for 2nd string. But options are options and no one has said that he's developing into an NFL tackle. He's fighting for a backup role on offense.
