For the love of all that is black and red, even if it's the last thing you ever watch, please watch this and I promise your eyes and mind will finally open up to the realization of what is actually going on all around us.

If not right now, then later. Just pull this up on your tablet or PC, and take the time to watch it all. You will learn more about our government and the world than you ever knew before.

"Specific examples don't really tell that much"

The Kennedy-Bush collaboration was the domestic equivalent of the Nazi-Soviet Pact: it was two supposedly mortal enemies teaming up. And one party fighting to keep the opposing party's head is pretty much a direct example of how intertwined the two groups are.

As far as disastrous wars go - we've only had one: the late unpleasantness between North and South. Iraq and Afghanistan may have been clusterfricks, but they weren't really disastrous. And even then, it's been the nationbuilding phases (that we were promised would not follow) that have been the clusterfricks, with most of the casualties and expense. The takedown of both Baathist Iraq and Taliban Afghanistan were pretty quick affairs, though, like all military actions, they had their blunders.

If you would like to see examples of the Republican and Democrats working in lockstep for decades to loot the American financial system please watch Charles H. Ferguson's 2010 Oscar winning documentary about the subprime mortgage scam, Inside Job.

Ferguson's film shows how both parties worked together to eliminate regulations that would have prevented the S&L looting of the 1980s, the internet bubble of the 1990s and the subprime mortgage crises of the 2000s. All of these financial fiascoes were engineered to enable massive private gains at the cost of enormous public loss.

If you have not seen Inside Job check out the DVD at your library or watch the movie on Youtube. Link below.

I hate BOTH Major parties with equal furor...

This coming from a FORMER Card Carrying Republican Party Member....

The Republican Party has forgot about the Bill of Rights and the Constitution... ( The Democrats have forgotten them a long time ago )....

I had to go to the Libertarian Party.... at least they are not Power hungry....

Here's the thing that kills me, they have it in their power to stop all the influence from the uber wealthy.

Major campaign financing reform and kicking bullshite lobbies off the Hill would do it.

No more donations over $500 from anywhere, including non-profits, PAC's, and lobby groups. And when a politician leaves office for any reason, there is a 10-year probationary period where they can't receive any money or employment from any company or industry or organization or country that they had any interaction with or influence over while they were in office. This goes for foundations and non-profits they or one of their family members creates or gets involved in.

And make politicians and their family's bank accounts completely public record while they're in office and for 10 years after they leave.

Also add term limits to Congress. Maybe three or four 4-year terms. These unlimited 2-year terms are retarded.

Basically we kill every possible way for a politician to be influenced other than by their constituent bases' words, needs, and wishes.

But these greedy corrupt sons a bitches won't ever do anything like this for obvious reasons.

One of the flaws of our electoral process is that dumb people are allowed to vote. This is how guys like this and Obama get elected. It's also why corrupt shite stains like Hillary will probably get elected too. Low IQ, gullible, ignorant, easily manipulated, dumb frickers being allowed to vote.

Actually, the founders said you had to be white, male, and a landowner. I'm sure it's racist, sexist, and snobby; but dam wouldn't this be a different country if we stuck to this. I'd settle for only having taxpayers vote. That would probably be enough.

I'd be fine with just a high school diploma to get your voter ID card. No need to make it racist or prejudicial against creed or skin color or lack of wealth.

Porter, I would bet that most people who watch Inside Job don't grasp the full ramifications of the boom and bust cycles. Let me explain.

The performance standard for politicians is Gross Domestic Product. The last three booms, S&Ls, dot com and subprime mortgage all had effect of inflating GDP prior to subsequent crashes. GDP accounting credited politicians for booms but didn't penalize for the unrealized loss of net worth resulting from crashes.

What I'm describing is a ponzi economy that is extremely lucrative for the small minority running the scheme but very costly for everyone else.

Whiz, you should watch this: LINK

I bet you'd get a kick out of it. It's funny and well done animation that nails the origins of the Fed and indirectly explains how those booms and busts happen and why.

Beef, that's an interesting little cartoon but about eight minutes in I can see that there is a misunderstanding about the Fed and money creation. Forget printing currency. Money creation is simply a bookkeeping entry.

I stopped watching at 9 minutes but I'll check out the rest later.

Yeah the money creation is just a metaphor. Don't think of it as literal. But do watch it all when you get the chance. It's more informative than you yet realize.

And then go watch the hour and 20 minutes of G. Edward Griffin explaining Collectivism.
