Dantonio is a great coach, I don't see Patterson leaving except for a lot of $$$$$$$$$. I think Kirby might just fall flat on his face and shat his pants ala Muschump style. I vote for Smart. He hasn't hit his stride? He's got tons of potential?

Absolutely. Memphis went 2-10, 1-11, and 2-10 before Fuente got there. He went 10-3 last year, and is 5-0 this year. He's completely revamped that team. Give me a Saban disciple over a proven head coach any day of the week.

Smart will fail as HC. Especially at South Carolina.

My last gf developed medorthophobia, a fear of erect penises, toward the end of our relationship. Soon after ahe developed acute hobophobia, a chronic fear of homelessness .it was a sad situation

1) Memphis was a 2 win program when he took over. He won 7 games combined his first 2 seasons and then won 10 in his third and they're 5-0 right now. When evaluating an up and coming coach you gauge progression. His progression has been very impressive.
2) Smart hasn't accomplished shite except wearing a headset for Saban. I'd be much more afraid of a guy with proven head coaching experience that has actually turned a program around.
When evaluating potential hires, would you rather have the guy who is able to get good results with star players everywhere? Or would you rather get the guy with great results out of very little?
