Barn vs. L'ville
Bama vs. Wisky
tOUS vs. Va Tech

I think at least one team pulls the upset over a top-ranked opponent - possibly two. Most likely IMO is Louisville over Auburn. I think the fighting Granthams shock the world - Petrino is a wizard and CTG's last taste of Barn was the shite show in '13 at JH.

I may be higher on louisville if I didn't see what we did to them in their last game. Petrino looked pedestrian (and they lost some of their playmakers from that game to boot, notably a 1st round WR) and grantham is grantham.

I think AU wins by double digits. Of course, it's all a complete guess since neither team has played a game yet so who really knows how good either will be.

OSU vs VT is a possibility. I think the Buckeyes have some starters out for this game, right?

I believe so but couldn't tell you who. I think one is a DL.

I think this happens too, but it won't be an upset.

I just really don't understand the AU hype. They lost 4 outta 5 to close the season and are replacing a QB who played for a MNC. Of course they've got talent, but I don't see CWM curing all their ills in his first season, if at all. Maybe just wishful thinking. Maybe I just fricking hate Auburn...

I agree with you 100%. Like you said I know they have talent but they lost several of there best players including there starting QB. I have heard that Jeremy Johnson is suppose to be good but I don't think he is good enough to take them from a 5 loss season to the NC's. I don't know for sure but from my perspective is that they are being over hyped. But I guess we shall see tomorrow!!!

It absolutely blows my mind the hype johnson is getting. The guy has never thrown more than 30 passes in a season. Granted his stats are "good", but I mean the sample size is practically non existent. Outside of mop up duty, the only "real" action he's gotten was against MSU last year. That's it.

I'm not saying he's not good. For all I know he could go down as one of the best QBs in league history. I'm just saying I don't think the ridiculous hype he's getting is warranted based on actual production up to this point.

They will have one of the scariest DLs in football this year. They got a TON of talent at RB and JJ now has another year under his bet of learning the offense and working with the 1's. They have a couple of really talented WRs as well.

Maybe just wishful thinking.

I am leaning towards this...I did all summer, but now reality is setting in a bit.

I think this is also a product of the other SEC QBs this year. He is one of very few QBs that have even stepped on the field. He did look good against Arkansas when he got the start. Definitely throws better than Marshall and time working with the 1s will have his run reads down and better awareness of the playbook...IMHO

Their defense will be much improved...not because of Muschamp, although I think he will give them an upgrade, but add that they get Lawson back and that will help their secondary a lot.

My order of likelihood for an upset would probably be Auburn, Ohio State, and then Alabama. But, I doubt any of them will lose.

It's nice to get the season rolling, but this is one of the least compelling opening weekends in a long while. Week 2 starts to get good though..

I'm pretty much focused soley on the Georgia game and then shooting some doves this weekend.

BYU over Nebraska is a legitimate possibility.

OSU at VT: Hokies defense always gives them a chance, but even with the suspensions, I don't think VT will have enough offense to pull this one out.

Wisconsin vs Alabama: If Stave struggles to throw, it'll be a long, long night for Wisconsin. This has a 24-10 Alabama feel to it.

Auburn vs Louisville: Petrino is a master game planner and play caller, but he can only mask the QB problems to an extent. The bigger issue will be Grantham vs the hurry up.

As long as AUburn doesn't frick up on first and second down and gain any yards they will be just fine...the way to beat Grantham is get to 3rd and long and he is fricked.....

Baylor should have enough offense to end up winning but their defense is some kind of bad.

Yea burning that TO and then the terrible decision making by the QB hurt SMU a lot there. Gotta get some kind of points from that. But SMU is gonna put up some more points in the second half.

This also makes me wonder how much Clemson is gonna miss Chad Morris. This SMU team was even worse than their 1-11 record indicated last year and he has them playing well above their talent level.
