Don't forget we're an hour behind. Be there or be square.

That means nothing in regards to this because the game is at 2:30 there. So not converting time would not mess anything up

I'm driving down to Nashville that Friday night. 7 hour drive, partying on Friday and getting up to tailgate for an 11am kickoff. Going out in Nashville Saturday night and driving home Sunday. Good lord work is going to suck balls that next Monday.

Does anyone have the rundown on what order the networks choose the games? A buddy HAS to work the morning of the Mizzou game, we’re hoping not to get a noon game that day. Just trying to figure out what our chances might be for a later game, thanks!

CBS has first choice, after that, ESPN does what they want. The better games will be prime time.

I can almost guarantee we will have a noon game that day.

(13) Auburn (25) LSU
Texas A&M (21) Florida
BYU (24) Miss St
Arkansas (1) Alabama

All those games will be chosen for night games before us

Thanks for replying.

I'm not happy with your assessment.

Not exactly how it works, but I get your point. A lot of times it goes:

3:30 CBS
7:00(ish) ESPN
6:45 (ish) ESPN 2
12:00 ESPN

Then the SEC Network gets its first choice. So we very well could be the 7:30 SEC Network game.

That's the kind of positive thinking I was looking for! Thanks!

Looks like that decision might come between our game, Vandy/Ole Miss or SC/TN. I like our chances.

We could possibly be the 4:00 SECN game, too? We can make it to Athens by then from Lake Blackshear. Just no way we can make a noon game.

Taking a look at this weekend
1200-Arkansas/New Mexico State(SECN)
1200-Florida/Vanderbilt(ESPN)
0330-Tennessee/Georgia(CBS)
0400-Kentucky/Eastern Michigan(SECN)
0600-Auburn/Miss State(ESPN)
0700-LSU/Troy(ESPNU)
0730-Texas A&M/South Carolina(SECN)
0900-Alabama/Ole Miss(ESPN)

Next Weekend might be better to go off of with no OOC
1200-Vanderbilt/Georgia(?)
1200-Auburn/Ole Miss(?)
0330-Florida/LSU(CBS)
0400-South Carolina/Arkansas(SECN)
0715-Texas A&M/Alabama(ESPN)
0730-Kentucky/Missouri(SECN)

If I had to take a guess going off of what we have
1200-Ole Miss/Vanderbilt(SECN)
1200-Tennessee/South Carolina(ESPN/ESPN2)
0330-LSU/Auburn(CBS)
0400-Georgia/Missouri(SECN)
0600-Mississippi State/BYU(ESPNU)
0700-Florida/Texas A&M(ESPN2/SECN)
0730-Alabama/Arkansas(ESPN)

So yeah, after writing everything out, Id say an afternoon game would be probable unless ESPN wants us in that noon spot on the big network.

Hot Damn! You nailed it!

We'll have time to do some tailgating, see the game, drive back that night, then I got to be up the next morning to go to Talladega, I'm gonna be a wore out arse! All worth it though, Go Dawgs!

I’m pretty sure this is Vandy’s Homecoming. Let that sink in.

I think it's a timing thing. It looks like homecoming is almost always in October. Vandy has a bye and 2 away games in October other than this one. The next opportunity would have been the first weekend in November against Western Kentucky. I've never really understood the point of "homecoming" necessarily anyways, but if it's meant to fall around a particular time, seems kind of inevitable this year rather than intentional.

FWIW, UGA's homecoming against Vandy was somewhat not by choice either. If the ideal homecoming week is sometime in October, the alternative would have been Tennessee (on October 1st, so barely making the cut anyways). Other than that, we played @ USC, had a bye week, then Florida in Jacksonville.

It looks like from 2011-2013, we did have homecoming as the first weekend in November, but other than that, most of the 2000's it has been in October from what I can tell.

From a game perspective, I think this would have been much preferable as a homecoming matchup. But from the perspective of getting people to travel in for the weekend, the weather is probably much more likely to be preferable this week than that November date.
