Why are you upset? That's the best possible outcome.

UGA fans who want to make the trip will still go. Vandy fans would be much more likely to show up for a night game IMO.

Coaches have always complained about noon @ Vandy. Your on the road. You stay 45 mins away from the stadium, so you have to get up extra early and it's an 11am game their, which means you have to get to the stadium by 9am....

Yes exactly, you're on the road. YOu should always want to play earlier on the road and later at home, just seems like common sense.

From a traveling fan's perspective, much more fun to tailgate and have the game early. Leaving the rest of the afternoon/night to enjoy Nashville.

Rather it not be a night game on the road as previously mentioned.

Personal preference! As a fan, I hate noon games regardless of opponent/location. Too early to get a lot accomplished before the game and ends too late to get a lot accomplished after the game ends.

Plus, it's Vandy. Not like that would be a hostile environment to play a night game.

I go to/have gone to many, many away games so I certainly understand having time to party, but from a team perspective it's much better to take the crowd out of it and get down to business. Furthermore our guys will be back in their own beds in Athens going to sleep just after dinner time opposed to getting in late SUnday morning, which I'm a big fan of. It's also nice for the driving fans to get home at a sensible hour as well.

Interesting...I have the complete opposite perspective.

Up at 8am. On campus by 9:30. Tailgate for 2 hours. Go to game. Game over at 3:45ish. Regroup, shower, change. Pre-dinner cocktails at Nashville bar watching other games. Dinner. Party the night away thereafter.

Seems like an awesome day to me

I suppose this is all assuming that you stay in Nashville both Fri and Sat, of course.

Was really hoping to see UGA go on an unprecedented streak of no nooners just so then for the next 1,000 years we would be cursed with no night games.

Has nothing to do with partying. I have a business to run and things to do around the house on Saturdays. I can get up early, get everything done and be back home in time for a 3:30 or later game. May even be able to get something on the smoker/grill if I'm lucky. For me, noon games suck....period!

The Vandy crowd probably won't be an issue. I'd be wiling to bet it's close to 50/50 fan wise anyway.

Do you really think a college athlete will be in bed at dinner time on Saturday night in Athens, GA? Or any college town for that matter?

I would imagine a great many will be, yes. Not "at" dinner time, but at a normal hour, certainly at a more reasonable time than if the game were at 3:30 or at night.

Damn was hoping for a later game. I work late on Fridays and won't be able to get down there that night. Now I'd have to wake up at like 6am to drive 4 hours and that leaves no time for a tailgate, which is probably ok because the party will be in Nashville after the game.

I may still do it.

Don't forget we're an hour behind. Be there or be square.

Noon game in Nashville is perfect

I am old enough to remember when almost ALL the games kicked off at 1 pm est

Have you ever been in Nashville on a Saturday night?

It's worth doing at least once before you die...

Does anyone have the rundown on what order the networks choose the games? A buddy HAS to work the morning of the Mizzou game, we’re hoping not to get a noon game that day. Just trying to figure out what our chances might be for a later game, thanks!
