The budget for the project is $30.2 million, and it is supposed to be ready for use early next year. New head coach Kirby Smart will have to bus his team to a site at the outskirts of campus, off Milledge Avenue, for practices all season.

The name “Jeremy Pruitt Memorial Indoor Facility” also does not appear to be under consideration.

Was told that we'll be tearing up the lower artificial turf fields and moving that same turf to be used at the Milledge fields (that turf would likely have to be moved anyway as construction takes place)

Tearing up the artificial and then reusing it? That doesn't sound right, and seems pretty Jewy, especially if they are already spending 30 mill.

If it's the same turf that has been there since I graduated in 95, I'm sure it needs to be replaced. They will probably take the old turf out to the temporary area and then replace it with new turf when the indoor facility is done if I had to guess.

It's brand new turf as of a year or two ago (was installed with the new film towers). I don't know how or why it'd be done this way but I imagine that they figure they'd might as well use what they already have since it has to be rolled up anyway so they can demo the concrete wall and get cranes and stuff onto the lower field.
