What is really fricking us right now is Texas. That game has turned into a must win against a talented team that won't even help us come tourney time. frick that, that's worst case scenario for a bubble team.

I thought about flying in for that game, but Texas absolutely blows. They have no point guard and can't shoot to save their lives outside of Tevin Mack (guy who we recruited pretty hard) and maybe Eric Davis. No one on that team will be able to cover Yante.

I'm planning on going to the game in College Station next Saturday, but I like to spend as little time as I can in that place so we'll see

I am probably jumping the gun but I felt that Marquette, Oakland, and South Carolina were all winnable games. Just weren't there yet though I guess.

Here is how I see the rest of the games:

Should Win
Mississippi State
Alabama
LSU
Vanderbilt
Auburn
Texas
@Texas A&M

Toss up
@Tennessee (we should be the favorite)
@Arkansas
@Alabama
@South Carolina
Florida (competitive for us but FLA is the favorite)

Should Lose
Kentucky
@Kentucky
@Florida

If we can pull out all the ones we should win and get 3 of the five that are Toss ups then we have 21 wins going into the SEC tourney and I think we get into the dance. Want to really get the dance, win one of those we should lose.

It definitely won't work out like that but we would be a lock heading into the sec tourney if it did.

We will probably lose one of the "should wins" and win 2 of the "toss ups" or lose 2 and win 3 or something. It's gonna be close all year but we are in a good spot right now.

GA Tech beat Clemson and Marquette Beat Seton Hall. Our nonconference is looking better as the season goes.

Well to be fair we played both Clemson and Ga Tech

We need Clemson to be average so it doesn't look like a bad loss, and Tech to be decent so it looks like a good win.

Also played Marquette.

I don't really think Ga Tech beating teams that we lost to will really help us. We just need all the OOC teams that beat us have good years.

Every win for tech should help and I think Clemson will get their fair share of wins. Oakland is 14-3 and that looks like it will turn out to be a quality loss.

Idk why but I am so jacked for tomorrow's game. I can't wait and we are gonna get drilled. We always do. We matchup with them better than many other years though.

But if Tech beats a team we lost to that just makes the loss worse, right? So the Tech win may look a little better but the loss looks a little worse.

However, we do want Tech to have the best season possible as with all the teams we play.

I think as long as both teams progress and win a bunch of games I think it makes us look better.

Who knows...we just have to win and we are in and how we look doesn't really matter.

Yeah I don't completely understand the whole RPI thing.

I'm with you though, we just need to take care of business on our end and win as many games as possible. I think if we hit 20 wins our RPI will take care of itself. I don't think it is completely unreasonable to think that we get to 22 wins.

Tennessee and Arkansas are looking more and more like a should win games. If we win all the ones we should plus these two and could upset USCjr we'd have 21 going into the SEC tourney.

Missed open shots and not rebounding killed us. Also fouling on the 3 point shots was poor dicipiline.

We played really well. Some mistakes here and there but to take that team to OT on the road is a good sign. If we play like that every game from here on out we will make the tournament. A combination of some bad calls and some shots spinning out by acts of god kept us from getting the W today imo

I don't know why we insist on running directly toward the shooter on the 3 and then running them over after the ball is released. The pros defend that by running diagonally to the shooter so they won't run into them.

We out rebounded them by 6 just didn't get the one that mattered most. Our best player was on the bench because of bogus fouls.

I do wish we could take a charge though.

TeShaun Hightower has committed to the G! 6'5 PG from prep school.

We now have replaced the kids leaving as follows:

JJ Frazier 5'10 with TeShaun Hightower 6'5
Kenny Paul Geno 6'6 with Rayshaun Hammonds 6'8
Houston Kessler 6'8.5 with 6'11 Nic Claxton

Surely Hightower won't score as JJ but he will make us a better defensive team due to his length and athletic ability.

this is pretty awesome to look at. no, we arent bringing in unreal classes, but the improvement is obviously there and we have a top 50 signing. lets keep grinding!
