Surprised I'm the first one to post this. Jack was probably the most lowkey legend in UGA history. I mean, just look at what he gave to us:

And with his passing, we have now lost our writer (Lewis Grizzard), our inspiration and Junkyard owner(Erk Russell), our voice (Larry Munson), our historian (Dan Magill), and our illustrator (Jack Davis).

Guys, UGA sports as we have known it may have officially died today

2 years ago, my one Christmas present wish was a Jack Davis print. My wife got me a beautiful framed "Hunker Down for Another Crown" print to make for some great Man Cave material. Jack Davis was a DGD for sure and will be missed.

I wonder why they finally abandoned his art on the stadium cups last year?. The 2015 cups were just a boring graphic of the back of a UGA helmet with the bone stickers and '15 for the helmet number etc..

And to think that some impatient fricks on here were demanding UGA abandon the Seiler Uga bloodline when the going got a little tough a while back.....s.i.y.g.'e.

Jack's bio was pretty impressive. There's no replacing guys like him and Munson. Scott Howard was/is in a very unenviable position. Bet the value of Davis' prints just went up a tad!

I was just looking at his Wikipedia page, and there's not a single mention of his UGA artwork, although it does mention his work for the College of Coastal Georgia. Would someone who is a better UGA historian and Wikipedia expert than me like to volunteer to add an entry on his page?
