Lineman are allowed too far down field way too often on pass plays. Contact by offensive players down field is allowed way too often. It takes away from the game. They need to fix this...

Run/Pass options can die in a fire and deserve all the flags (unless we use them)

Problem is enforcement is so dam subjective. And if anyone is going to have a borderline/ bad call that affects a game we know it will be our Dawgs. Personally I don't think an OL should be beyond the LOS at all on a pass play. Talk about making it tough on LB's....

Go to The gaylord in Nashville today and hand out a business card saying you are a consultant for RPO. You won't be the only one...

Should go to the NFL rule imo. Eliminate the RPO and give defenses a shot.

Agree and the lack of enforcement has contributed to the success of dual-threat type offenses IMO. Think about it. Running/passing QB rolls right with blocking. QB tucks ball and runs fast as if a run play and then pulls up and throws to an open trailing receiver after the Secondary comes up to stop the run. This simultaneous run/pass threat has been a huge factor in the success of Clemson's offense. Of course you do have to have a highly talented QB to pull it off.

Auburn used that slide pass off read option with Nick and Cam
and it was a boarderline illegal and almost impossible to stop.

I'm not sure they want to stop it. They love the high scoring games. Great for tv which is driving the NCAA bus IMO.

I agree, but it is a slippery slope that bites the NFL hand that feeds it...

SEC officials cleaned up those downfield blocks after Cam and Marshall used the zone read to be successful. Their offense has been average since then. Those Big12 refs in the NC game were clueless.
