Thoughts on Team after G-Day?

I haven't really seen what concerns most have or what they liked other than the popular answer: "Eason". I personally liked our group of TE's. I don't think, I know it's the best group in the country and it's not even close. I also really liked Walker. I believe he'll add another 10 pounds this summer and be a freak off the edges. Thoughts?
Kicking game is awful BTW...

I was really impressed with the TEs as well ... just hope we actually utilize them this coming season.

TEs were pretty fantastic. Eason looks good. Best thing I saw, though?

You and the pistol...

You know, there's something rather Freudian about your love for 11 men running the pistol...

I think The coaches must be confident with the run game, so they concentrated on the passing game for the spring game. At least I hope that is the case.

I was very encouraged by the hustle and discipline on the team. Everyone played hard and fast. It's going to be a fun year.

It's hard to take anything seriously away from a spring game, but watching a true freshman QB make throws that maybe 10 NFL QBs can make is pretty awesome, specifically the corner route to Ridley. That ball went about 45 yards on a frozen rope and it looked like Eason made almost no effort in throwing that ball.
Whoever said the kicking game was bad, I thought Blankenship and Ramsey were solid and McKenzie is just special returning kicks.

Blankenship made kicks, but they were all low line drives. That's not good.

Oh my gosh he was terrible. I don't know how he could be that bad, and yet Smart said he was doing so well through practice.
I agree that the TE's are going to be insanely good. If Eason does start(which I'm all for) it would be awesome to always have check down to Nauta or Blaze. Shoot, Harris and Davis look good too.
Eason was obviously a highlight, and his stats were actually better than they appear. I can think of at least 3-4 passes that hit the receiver's hands, and a couple more that probably would have been caught if the receivers were going full out. Of course the pass to Ridley almost made me weep with joy.
Carter looked like he wasn't even going full speed, and still came out like a freaking beast. If he keeps up that intensity he is going to be unstoppable, and a damn good leader for the defense.

I thought we looked pretty good considering there has been a coaching change. Loved some of the new formations Chaney was running out there. The 2 TE sets, sometimes featuring Blaze, Nauta, or Jordan Davis split out looked awesome. Ramsey and Eason looked improved. Jayson Stanley looked like he is coming around, we're gonna need another receiver to really step up. 1st team defense played pretty well for most of the game.
I still think the O line has a lot of work to do before the year begins. And the #2 Defense did not look very good either at times. Gonna need some depth. Special teams looked really bad, but its important to remember that we have 2 kickers coming in with this recruiting class.

My take aways
Highlights
- The TE's looked good.
- Eason, whether he starts the first game or not... is the future.
- WR performances was nice
- iMac doing iMac things.
- Pace of the offense was really good
Negatives
- Why weren't there adjustments to cover the middle that seemingly was open all the time
- The defense seemed to be going through the motions are not really... trying?
- Kicking. May go for it on 4th a lot
- Hard to make any assumptions of RB's due to our depth at the moment.
Not a bad spring game which is exactly what it is.

The team obviously has plenty to work on but it's amazing to see, for the first time in my life, everybody associated with Georgia Football all working in the same direction. Fans, Head Coach, Admin., everybody. It's possible we could truly awaken this sleeping giant.

I think Blankenship will be ok, he just looks like waldo with those specs on

Kickers should be weirdos. I like that Rodrigo looks like a cartoon figure. I hope he wins the job and plays great. The dude is a better athlete than what most people realize.

I also liked what I saw from the 4th qb, Nick Robinson. Honestly thought he looked better than GL and maybe BR.
