Godwin and (fingers crossed) Smith would be icing.
Filled a lot of holes - addressed a lot of needs. Good day for the Dawgs.

UGA's best if we get Godwin and Roquan, great if we get just one of the two, and still very good if we get neither.

I was pissed earlier but a closer look reveals we did pretty well.

8 defensive linemen.

7 DB prospects.

A great handful of Offensive Linemen.

Understood we weren't going to get any great RBs or QBs considering our current roster.

Receiver corps could have gotten a little sweeter with Godwin and Slayton, and hell, Preston Williams, but getting those guys would have been a fricking dream team.

But the receivers we are still getting are good, but not elite.

Overall, great class.

Everyone has to have a dream. I guess this is yours. We have the weakest grip on recruits in the SEC other than Vandy. Every year we have players committed for long periods of time only to have them poached by other teams in the final days. It's laughable. I thought Pruitt would change things but looks like UGA made superman human. CBS has done nothing to stop the bleeding from losing Bobo. If we lose Godwin or Smith (God forbid both) this classes will be maybe not disappointing but somewhat of a letdown.

May very well be one of the best we've had in a while.

You can't deny the impact that the new defensive staff has on recruiting now. They did a hell of a job bringing in some top prospects on the DL. That bodes well for the future.

That's how I felt earlier today.

I disagree with you, but I understand why you feel that way.

JR...seriously...what the frick is your problem? We lost 2 very key staff members and damn near lost most of the rest. They held on and put together a strong class.

If you want to help, start ponying up.

Godwin is elite and Chigbu is going to be great in a year or two, and don't sleep on Stanley. Overall it's a pretty good WR class but a month ago it looked like an ELITE class.

Land Smith and keep Godwin, this class will still be excellent. . .maybe Richt's best ever.

Believe me, I don't enjoy it either. Just like I don't enjoy watching 8-4, 9-3 seasons. Unfortunately, NSD and championships have a lot of correlation.

You are right, but I still disagree with you.

All of the above and, since on one else has mentioned him ....

Trent frickin' Thompson.

Pretty good class when you can have 18 posts discussing it and not one mention the top recruit in the nation.

I think we done good.
