There's not much enthusiasm surrounding the football team in south bend these days. Back in 2000, Nebraska's faithful showed up in record numbers to cheer their huskers to an OT victory.

I'm hoping bulldog nation can top that this September. I'll be doing my part wearing red and barking my arse off, hope to see you boys there for the takeover.

Highly doubtful.

I get all the extra "stuff" surrounding this game, but 25K is ridiculous. For starters, I imagine many UGA folks that WANT to go are going to be turned off by the $500 ticket price on the secondary market, so they'd essentially just be going on vacation to chicago. ND is giving us 8K tickets. So that's a looooot of folks to bring that have no intention of going in the game.

With that said, our away fans have always traveled well especially to unique venues (boulder, tempe, stillwater) so I certainly expect over 10K there with ease. Just not 25.

Your not kidding WG, tickets for that game are downright absurd. I was gonna go until I saw tickets nearing super bowl prices.

There's a legitimate observable economic phenomenon in relative consumer markets known as the notre dame effect in which prices nearly double any time the Irish come to a visiting town or a team makes a trip to south bend. $500 per ticket is actually pretty commonplace for these kinds of games with notre dame and will likely be the same again in 2019 when they come to Athens. It's half the appeal for schools and towns to schedule them

My son's and I will be there. We don't have tickets yet, so that's obviously a concern.

When it was announced I told my wife I was going and I didn't care if a ticket cost me $5K. I have since lost interest. Not the money...I could care less about that....it is the fact that a bunch of 20 year olds playing a game just doesn't seem the important to me any longer. Season after season of mediocrity or worse and being waaaaaaayyyyyy to invested emotionally without having much in the way of reward have taken their toll on my....I actually forced my self to leave a Sports bar in Vegas during the Auburn game this year because it was a beautiful day outside and my wife wanted to drive up to the Mountains. Huge difference in that and me being 3 hours late to her 30th birthday party 20 years ago the same weekend because Auburn and the Dawgs went into OT......

That's going to be nearly impossible, but you can add me to the list of people going to be there
