The Elephant in the Room. . .

It used to be an automatic banning for even mentioning the other site, let alone starting a thread about it. Crossing my fingers that same policy is still in place.

I used to check in over there just to poke Monte and get him going. To be fair, it went to shite when they banned Monte because that board was really only good for being an e-freak show where everyone could see Spectrum Boy throw his tantrums and speak in tongues.

As fearful as you are when it comes to associating with any outside fanbase I would think you would have loved a site that was just UGA guys.

I read somewhere that the reason dogs put their tails between their legs is to cover up their genitals. Out of shame.

Same few people kept going back and forth about random stuff and no one else was posting. The place had/has a lot of potential but people need to make it happen. Haven't visited there in months.

That and the format sucked. There were so many separate boards you had to dig through layers of shite to see new posts. Also it diluted what little activity there was.

Bottom line is traffic makes this shite interesting. Without it you're doomed to fail.

Layout sucked. As stated before, there were a TON of different sub-boards on there. When you start out with a small forum, you only need 1 board. TD has a frick ton of boards because tens of thousands of people login everyday and throw shite at each other. You can't build that shite over night; you have to have the demand for it.

Also, there's no real demand for another board like that. Between your paysite forums like 247, Rivals, & Scout, and your places like Bulldawg Illustrated, you've got pretty much everything covered when you toss in a free message board like tRant, especially now that they have team-specific boards. Chicken tapped into it at the right time and has built a nice little kingdom; the only way something else ever pops up is if chicken tries to make this a premium site (pay for access) or someone develops a better message board, which will be damn near impossible because of the traffic that is dedicated to this site. Everyone claims they don't like places like tRant because of "all the drama", but then they complain when there's only 5 people who post on a message board and there's no one to talk shite to.

I rallied to have a prison colony forum years ago here. Instead of banning people, you sentence them to a term in Lockup, the only forum they can post in, just a bunch of misfits and psychopaths, with tools disabled so they can't continue porn bombing. Just a plain text forum.

Then the rest of us could watch the criminals all mingle with each other.

Make Monteg the moderator, prison foreman. Call it "Lockup with Monteg"

Instead of just banning people.
