Clearly we have diametrically opposed views of what constitutes class and dignity. And while I have no delusions that Trump was/is my ideal candidate, at least he puts America first in sharp contrast with the Muslim Manchurian Candidate who just left office.

The left prizes appearance and intent rather than results. Being smooth, articulate and accepted on the world stage are the most important qualities a president can have. Whether or not you get anything done or your programs work is irrelevant.

He did plenty. He extended the patriot act effectively nullifying the fourth amendment. He was a war mongerer in various nations, and he has persecuted more whistleblowers under the Espionnage Act than all the previous presidents combined. But hey, he freed the gays and took away pre existing conditions.
I have no idea how people can digest all of these things yet still consider him classy in any way shape or form. You can't separate a person from the policies he creates; they are very much linked. I find the average person's ability to compartmentalize these things strange and deeply disturbing.

Hey at least PDX isn't immediately playing the race card for those of us who found Obama lacking. That was the single most frustrating thing about the past 8 years. Screaming "racist!" when someone is critical of the President smacks of subtext that the critic isn't intelligent enough to evaluate Obama's policies on their own merits (or lack thereof) and assumes that the critic is too stupid to see beyond Obama's skin color.
Which is ironic as hell, because that usually tips that person's hand as to what was *their* Primary motivator for voting for that America-hating jackass twice.

Out of curiosity...what did you think of him killing an American citizen abroad (Not to mention the guys son, who was not accused of anything) without benefit of a trial, then fighting for giving the foreign prisoners in Guantanamo trials on American soil?
