What's his future in the slot?
Seems like McKenzie is the guy in the slot.
Ridley and Wims at WR.
Nauta at TE with Jeb as the solid #2.
Is Godwin going to just be another squandered 5 star?

I thought he was gonna have a breakout year after his game against PSU.
Maybe Jacob having another year under his belt improve Terry's numbers

Godwin went from being one of the most underrated players in the SEC to whale shite on the bottom of the ocean
I blame Jacob Eason, jmo

He improved over last year and hopefully will again.

IMO he doesnt have the makeup for an elite WR. Talent for days, but will be serviceable at best.

To me he doesn't play above his size meaning he doesn't look to have that dog in him and he has no open field moves other than Hey watch out I'm kinda fast.

I think Godwin can be deadly as long as he's not the "go to" guy. If we get some more elite WRs to compliment Ridley, Godwin will not get targeted by the defense, he'll get open more often and, right now, he has the most reliable hands on the team.
He can't carry a WR corps by himself, but he'd be a great asset as part of an elite WR corps. jmvho.

Yep, at 5'11" 185 lb and non-stellar speed (4.66 per Rivals) for a WR, he was definitely overrated as a 5 star recruit. As others have said he also doesn't seem to have that extra athleticism/wow factor aka going up and aggressively grabbing the ball and reeling it in.

I think he is more suitable for an Auburn-ilke offense

He's simply not fast or shifty enough for his size. I was puzzled that he was a 5* and nothing has changed my mind.

He's had hands of stone most of the season, but t could be lack of touch coming from Eason. But he definitely didn't have the year I expected him to have

Definitely not overrated. I've played with and against Terry and he's got talent for days. I doubt having two OC's and two QB's in two years helps. People here got way too spoiled with AJ Green.

This. He has talent but just looks timid at times and often shies away from contact.

Stone? He had good hands most of the year.

That's weird that we have different memories of the season because I'm with Nytro. Even watching the games with my wife I groaned every time they threw the ball to Godwin, especially early in the season. Not saying you're wrong, just funny that people perceive him so differently. I think he can be what we need, but I agree we need an above average to elite receiver above him to help out. Hopefully the two 6'2+ receivers we just got can make an immediate impact

I imagine Godwin had less drops than Stanley, chigbu, and iMac, and about the same as nauta.

Yep, Godwin can certainly be part of the equation but I don't think he will every be the go to guy. And yes, we definitely need to be recruiting taller more athletic receivers. Elite speed is not an absolute requirement. What is important is elite athletic ability to go up in traffic and catch the ball with your hands and shiftiness to get yards after the catch.

Blocking, too. WR blocking is such an underrated skill

Wr blocking is all about want to. Don't have to be Julio Jones to be effective.
