After Tennessee State scored more touchdowns in 1 quarter against Vanderbilt than Georgia did in 4 quarters, I had another temper tantrum.

I'm pissed off all over again about last week's game.

How can an FCS team get better results on offense than a team that consistently ranks in the top 10 in recruiting?

I bet not a single player on Tennessee State's roster was ranked by those recruiting services. They know nothing.

Tennessee State has receivers who can actually catch the ball.

GRRRR!

The announcement will be made Tuesday.

It's a contingency ban.

I'm confused. I realize he has made some threads that he shouldn't have. But, what was wrong with this thread?

Obviously Tennessee State has more talent than we do...hell Nichols State almost had more talent than we do...there ain't but one player in Athens that was offered anywhere else...the cupboard is bare...Nichols State and Vandy has as much or more talent than we do...and apparently Tennessee State...

Apparently everyone on Nichols States schedule is more talented than us....we have the least rushing yards against them this season with the exception of the University of the Incarnate Word which is apparently the Nichols State version of a rent-a-win.....

McNeese State and Sam Houston state also had fewer yards rushing against them but they both had over 400 yards passing and only about 15 rushing attempts each which tells me that neither school runs the ball much...

We are about as talented as most of the teams on Nichols States schedule...and I have joking said Richt was stealing his salary but seriously for us to be level with talent in the Southland Conference Richt must have really been committing fraud....

Georgia Southern went to a Bowl game, though, and had a pretty darn good team, IMO. (You DID mean georgia Southern, right? We didn't play Georgia State)

However, the transitive stuff rarely reflects reality.

However, we have not looked good against any of the weaker teams. It's one thing to have an off week or two. But we have under performed against 4 teams we clearly have more talent than, and people were on here blaming Richt for "leaving the cupboard bare"...so I'm not sure if I can fault him for his post.

He meant Georgia State outscored us vs a similar opponent the same way Tennessee State just did. I think they beat Georgia Southern by a lot last year.

Ah! yes! I understand, now. However, to be fair, that was the last game that was meaningless for Georgia Southern and had a lot riding on it for State. I suspect, Southern, already going to a bowl game protected their starters. (I don't KNOW this, but I suspect.)

On a side note.....I am glad to see both Southern and State put some solid teams on the field, and hope they continue to do well!

ETA
34-7. that win gave State their 6th win of the year and made them bowl eligible. (They lost to San Jose State)

My bad. I should have realized. I just know some get State and Southern confused, and I had to think long and hard to make sure i had it correct.

And, as I said...transitive is never a good way to compare teams. Your overall point was dead on.

Enjoy the younguns whether they are your kids or grandkids. They grow up way too fast.

Because this is a fricking troll thread applying the transitive property/relative opponents to sports which is such an insanely moronic way of looking at sports.

Maybe it just looks better to me than some of the other threads he has made?

I understand that the constant dumb threads and finger pointing gets old after awhile. Especially when it becomes constant.

I was tired of it last season when it was going on (Fairly or not) with Richt. I find it funny that when I defended Richt I was told that I was settling for mediocrity, and people criticizing Richt were the true Georgia fans.

Now that the shoe is on the other foot, it is the same apologists saying that anybody who would say ANYTHING critical are not true Georgia fans and everybody should be behind the coaching staff whether they make poor decisions or not.

It's refreshing to see the frustration I felt last year.

Don't misunderstand. (Because I now somebody will pick and choose my words and twist them into something that is unintended) I like Kirby Smart, and realize it will take time. I also realize that he is in a bad position depth, etc.

But I also have no problem with calling him out for poor clock management, poor decision making, lack of inspired play, and poor game plans.
