Tech Hires Josh Pastner from Memphis to run things in McTitish Arena

cuonzo martin was a hot name last week.

Pastner is a fairly good recruiter but tech does that ok anyway. But apparently he's a horrendous coach, so it basically sounds like gregory 2.0.

This hire has been met with mostly laughter on all the other boards on here so I take that as a good sign.

As frustrating as UGA hoops is at times, Tech has just insanely underachieved over the past decade.

We've been to the tournament three times since Tech last made the dance.

They targeted Jeff Capel, Bryce Drew, Cuanzo Martin and possibly others. With them having no money it is kind of a difficult position to fill.

I wouldn't compare him to Gregory cause Gregory wasn't necessarily known as a big time recruiter. Pastner can definitely recruit, has always been big time with that. He had some early success but struggled the last couple years, definitely underachieved.

Might be a good hire if he learned from his mistakes at his first job. At the very least he will bring talent into tech. Will be interesting to see what he does right away because their roster is bad for next year.
