He had a real tight spiral Saturday when he overthrew the guy by 30 yds

There is a reason he is where he is.

It might have been splitting hairs though and the hair has been split in the other direction at this point.

I think they left him in to try to win, because they have no trust in the guys behind him

Granted, it's only two games of stats to look at... but those two games were ULM and Vanderbilt. You are supposed to pad your stats with games like this. You don't normally get considerably better as the competition gets stepped up.

True but considering it was his first two games ever, he did fine as far as I'm concerned.

All you Lambert apologists have some kind of weird blinders on or rose-colored glasses that must help you manufacture justifications and excuses. It's mindboggling.

It's as if you didn't watch the game. Or you watched it and just choose to ignore the bad parts because your brain won't allow you to acknowledge them or admit something bad exists.

I'm usually as optimistic as it gets about this team. But I can't ignore what I saw Saturday. Lambert is awful. He is so far from having what it takes to lead this team to wins, I simply can't act like he does and make excuses for him or say it's only his second game and he wasn't "that bad". Because that's simply no where close to reality. He was horrible and we can't win vs better opponents with this guy at QB.

Take your homer glasses off for a minute and just tell yourself the truth for once. We are not a championship team with Lambert at QB.

And not with Ramsey and Bauta, either...

I seriously don't know what people were expecting. Georgia entered the season with serious questions at QB, and then played 19 true freshmen in the opener.

Expecting the team to be humming along at the start of the season on the way to the SEC Championship was unrealistic.

We don't actually know that though. You sound like you're just making another justification for Lambert.

We haven't even seen Bauta yet. And you can't say that the coaches are always right because that's simply not true. Some players are different in games than they are in practice.

I'd like to see Ramsey and Bauta given a chance since I KNOW Lambert can't take us where we want to go.

Why do you care what anybody else thinks then?

You have observed Lambert's flaws and therefore have achieved Enlightenment! The season is over! Everyone sit down and shut up!

The 19 true freshman didn't cause Lambert to panic repeatedly, stare down his receivers, dance around with ridiculous happy-feet every play, fail to make it past his primary target and connect with his progressions, and single handedly turn us one-dimensional and predictable.

The rest of the team played pretty good. Other than dropping about 3 or 4 ints by the secondary, I didn't see any serious disfunction anywhere else but QB.

Pretty sure this is a fan discussion board and I'm simply participating in a discussion like everyone else.

But way to deflect from what I said and spin some snide remark.

I didn't say they did. I'm pointing out a red flag that should effect fans' expectations.

They bottom line is that Georgia is going to need to scrap for wins until a QB gets some confidence. Lambert is clearly struggling. That shouldn't be unexpected. Georgia isn't likely to win pretty for a while, if at all this season.

That's a double-negative. You're essentially saying that we "should expect" our QB's to struggle.

No, we shouldn't. We're supposed to have three top tier QB's competing for one of the top positions in all of college football and we don't have that.

We have a championship caliber team at every other position. RB's best in cfb, OL top-5, LB's best in cfb, DL top-5, secondary top-10, WR's top-10. TE's best in cfb. And our depth is even outstanding across the board.

Hell, all we need is a freaking game manager at QB who can occasionally throw the ball deep to keep defenses honest and prevent them from stacking the box, while minimizing mistakes like interceptions and sack-fumbles, and we don't even have that.

Actually, we may have that in Ramsey or Bauta, but we don't really know for certain. What we do know for 1000% certain, is that Lambert is not capable of being that guy.

And acting like "well he did ok in the second half and hasn't thrown any ints" isn't close to changing the reality of who he is. That's nothing more than tossing sugar on a turd and saying it won't taste as bad anymore.

The QBs that we have on our team right now are going to struggle until they gain some confidence.

OK. We don't have that. Tough shite. UGA has to find another way to win.

We may eventually develop that.

We have 2 quarterbacks with no meaningful game experience and 1 quarterback who lost his starting job at a sub-par ACC school. We do not have any QBs on the roster who we should have felt comfortable with going into the season.

It doesn't matter how highly recruited a QB is. Until that QB shows he can do it on the field, you cannot have confidence in him. Look at how Stafford started his career with us.

How hypocritical is this?

That fans who expect a team to fight and sweat and bleed and never give up……….are suddenly giving up themselves at the very first sign of “adversity” (a 17 point sec road win! )……because they have achieved Enlightenment from their couches about the rest of the season????!!?

This shite is hilarious, man.

Yeah, I can sign on to that.

OL top-5

Debatable, but I tend to agree.

OLB's I agree, but the corps as whole, I'm not sure about.

DL top-5

Wait, what?

secondary top-10

Totally lost me here.

WR's top-10

I fell like a white girl because "I can't even" with a statement like that.
