Anyone know why Richt does this?
What is the primary advantage other than not allowing a return.

I seen Richt do this a lot, but I think it has hurt us more than helped us so kind of wondering if I am missing anything.

I've seen some teams fair catch it because the guy who catches it can't run worth a frick. I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure our coverage has sucked today. They're probably getting better field position from a standard kick.

Tennessee's return game is pretty good. Just preventing a big play to start the half.

If you put outta the back of the end zone that pretty much negates any type of return too doesn't it

Bigger question I have is why we can't consistently kick it out of the back of the endzone? Would save up 10+ yards.

Because it worked so well against Ga Tech that time.

It never does anything other than give the other team field position. Stupidest shite ever.

In fairness, Morgan probably just treats it like he's going out kicking a FG
