Their defense is definitely better, but I also wonder how much of that had to do with UNC's O-line being pretty shitty. They've had several key injuries and some attrition. The lack of depth was definitely a problem for them.

Hard to judge against an offense as bad as UNC. QB was average, only one RB that could break a tackle and gain yards, WRs that were clueless running patterns. UNC was bad overall. The two end zone INTs gave SC the win. Had those simply been incompletions followed by FGs, then UNC might have worn down the SC defense in overtime.
