We had a lot of bad, dropped passes today. If we catch all of those, or at least most of those, we have another couple TDs (probably) and we keep drives going and keep their offense off the field. Perhaps we're looking at a different game.

You never know what's going to happen with what-ifs, but damn it we need receivers who can catch the ball. There's no excuse to get hit in the hands and between the numbers so often for it to just bounce out. It's not like every throw that is dropped requires an AJ Green catch.

Agree and not just on the dropped passes. There were two instances where Lorenzo Carter had his hands on Chad Kelly's jersey before ultimately missing the sack which allowed Kelly to plant and throw a long touchdown pass (TWICE). Somebody needs to teach him how to wrap up on the pass rush because he was in position to make a play all game but couldn't wrap up.

Doesn't excuse our offensive line, receiving core, and DBs playing like absolute dog shite though. I can't recall watching a worse game for the Oline and receivers in the past 5 years.

Oline blocking wasnt as bad today The dropped passes from our receivers killed us today...if they haul in half of those we keep our Defense off the field....the longer Briscoe is on he side lines the less chance we get scored on

At one point in the 3rd quarter the announcer said that of 26 passes from Eason, we had 6 dropped catches by the receivers. 23% of catchable passes dropped.

It's preparation. Kirby has been honest in saying these practices the last few weeks sucked. He's not getting through. That is coaching to a certain degree but it's also learning to be the man in charge.

People were critical of me saying I thought Kirby looked in over his head at times. And I still stand by that in that he isn't being successful in getting the team to react to him as they should.

Is a major part of the issue talent? Sure. But some of the issues with the secondary are baffling. And some of the mistakes are pretty correctable. And we didn't see that happen like last week.

Pruitt came in and understood you have to simplify when shite isn't going your way. Going here on out, I'd like to see that.

I'm ready for him to just gtf off the field. He is etching his name into biggest wastes of talent in UGA history.

Something else to consider is this team is young(in the sense of playing a lot of freshman, 1st year HC)
But a big thing is we've played 4 games in 4 different stadiums. That can play a big disadvantage with a young team.

Momentum is a real thing. You got to grab it, we dropped it or let it slip.

Catch half of them and momentum and rhythm change dramatically. Not to mention a young QBs confidence being much better....

The funny thing is, everyone was worried that Eason would be the one most likely affected by the booga-booga factor of two straight SEC road games. No one considered the possibility that he'd hang tough and every WR we have would forget how to catch a fricking football b

The good thing is that catching a football is something that can be worked on...rather it will improve is anyone's guess but rote repetition can help...

That's true to some extent but I believe the best receivers just have natural hand/eye coordination and catch the ball with big hands. It's a bit like being a catcher in baseball; if you are bat-blind you will never be a good catcher. In like manner in football, you have to be able to concentrate on following the ball all the way into your hands regardless of movement in front of your field of view.
